"Katie Alison Minno"!Screamed Johnson Minno Katie's father."Yes father"Katie replied walking down the hall in her long Ruby Red dress."Why didn't you finish the dishes"?Her father pointed to the overflowing sink."Father I can't reach the sink,I'm only six"She answered."Thats a horrible excuse"Her father told her."Theres a stool in the closet".He thought out loud."Father I looked but there is none".She pointed out."Very well,I shall send Cook Andile".He mumbled."Go to the Nursery". Katie got her hanker chief out and walked back to the Nursery wiping her wet face which was soaked in tears.She knew what she had to do to get away from here miserable life.Just something was pulling her away from it.She tried to live a decent life but her father was to..well you saw.Her mother wasn't as bad but was never around.She always had "meetings".Katie didn't know but her mother was having an affair with Preger Boulder.Johnson's well known enemy.Katie grabbed her doll,Mary and held her close.Her father tumbled into the Nusery."What are you doing with that foresakin doll,hand it over at once." He demanded."No,your not taking Mary like you took my
life"!She screamed. "You stubborn brat"He snatched it away and threw it out the win dow."Mary"!Yelled Katie leaning over the window just in time to grab her precious doll."Katie!How dare you"!.He said."Johnson"came a voice behind him.He turned around to see his wife."Oh its you Silane,teach this girl not to disobey her father"He replied."Johnson I'm leaving you,Ive seen enough of your strict violence with this girl,Ill be taking her with me".She told him picking up Katie."Fine,I don't need this nonsense".
3 months later..........
"Wake up sweetheart"Katie's mom kissed her on the cheek softly and helped her out of bed."We are going out for breakfeast today remember?"She replied to Katie's yawn."Oh yea where were we going again"?Katie sat up ignoring Doodles thier cat rubbing her legs for attention.Her mom handed her a long red coat."The Cranberry's house,I'm sure if you could get used to one of thier boys then maybe you could get married one day".Her mother exclaimed.Katie slid into her coat.Before she went to sleep her mother put her in an elligant pink and yellow dress.Katie never met the boys before and was looking forward to it.Hopefully they weren't slobs like the Canserfer's boys.
When they arrived later that evening Katie was looking prettier than ever.Her long curly dirty blond hair was put up in a neat ponytail and her dress was nice and clean.Small amounts of makeup covered her face making it stand out more.Her mother wearing a long green dress with buttons down her back.Her hair short and straight.Her hair was loose and dangled to her neck."OK Katie when you walk in please curtsy and sit down next to the boy who is dressed to your fancy".Her mother opened the door and Katie curtsied and went to sit down to the boy dressed in a Black suit and they smiled at each other.He grabbed her hand and kissed it."My names Ethan whats yours?"he said in a rather kind voice."I'm Katie,nice to meet you Ethan".The other boys put on jealous faces and ran up to greet Katie.There was 5 boys.The 2nd one looked at his brother in dismay."I'm Dylan"he coughed.The 3rd one gave her a firm hug and chatterd "I'm Nick".Katie looked at the 4th boy as he speaked up shyly "I'm Tebby"Finally the 5th one spudderd "I'm Kendel"Katie looked at them.They looked about the same age as her.She peeked through the boys and saw her mother talking to Elizabeth the boys mother,who gave her a little wink."Its nice to meet you all,I'm Katie".Katie smiled.They all took thier seats,Getting closer and closer when no one was looking.
