It was my dream
That shiny almost perfect world
where nothing could go wrong.
The air was so clean
so clear.
Anything could happen
anything at all.
I made some friends
and felt so strong,
for once.
even if at times the cold,
broken snake slithered deep inside.
It was our dream.
That less then perfect world-
that took our breaths away.
Broke us down
reformed us.
With summer
and fall swirling all about us-
That world was our dream.
Our fairytale.
