The Pirate's Revenge
Prologue
"Shhhhh."
"What? But shouldn't we--?"
"No. When you've known her as long as I have, you know it's better not to."
"But--"
"Shhhh!"
The room was dimly lit; the only light coming from a small window half covered by an opaque curtain. In the middle of the room, on the wood floor, was a large circle of candles that had just recently melted down in their brass holders. In the center of this circle was a figure. A young-looking woman whose appearance effectively disguised her age. She lay curled catlike on the floor, shoulderlength dark brown hair spilling from a tricorn hat, fast asleep.
"Look at her," One speaker said as they pushed a stray lock of the sleeper's hair from her face and tucked it behind her ear with invisible hands, "She looks so peaceful."
"Should we leave?" the other speaker inferred.
"That would probably be for the best."
"C'mon then."
"I hate to leave her, though, after she exhausted herself trying to summon me."
"I can understand that, but you've already said we shouldn't wake her. And she wouldn't be able to see us. Not yet anyway."
"*Sigh* I know. But help me get her to a more comfortable spot before we go."
Unseen forces lifted the sleeper from the cold wood floor and gently deposited her in a hammock-like bed by the wall.

So, can you guess who the speakers were? Or who the sleeper was? If not, keep reading to find out. If yes, then keep reading anyway; that was obviously only the prologue.
