I hope you have all the love
You ever dreamed of
And I hope you always have
A friend to turn to

I hope you have eternal happiness
And a smile upon your face
Not one that seem to be painted on
But one that has a radiant glow
Like the sun on a summer day

I hope you never experience pain again
Or the loneliness I know
You felt many a time before

I hope you are never sad
Because of others hurtful words
Or because you felt unloved
Because you will always be loved
By someone, somewhere
Whether you be here or gone

I just hope you hear this
Wherever you may be
And you are listening carefully
To know how much I care

But why did I have to wait until now to show it?
You cannot see it
Or feel the warmth of my hugs
Or the sweetness of my kisses

I guess that is how things are

Some people may not care
Or know they did until now because you are gone
Or maybe they were scared
To show you how they felt

But now you?re gone
And it?s too late

And I hope you?re in a better place
