Here's how far the Charlie Bone Roleplay is and everyone is welcome to join in.
Jinx sat at breakfast with her face almost in her breakfast. She was so tired and felt pretty unwell. She glanced around the tables and spotted a face that she hadn't seen before. A girl sat quietly at the foot of her table. Jinx sat on her own an awful lot, she found it hard to keep friends, so this girl was intriguing for Jinx. She felt she should say something but didn't. The girl's hair was red, not as dark as hers. She looked lost and new.
In the end she did say something.
"Um.. hi? Are you new?" The girl looked shocked, unexpecting someone to talk to her.
Chanty didnt really know what to do... she was shuken up by all the sad emotions.. so many people had so amy hard lifes, but she tryed to ignor it. Chanty walked slowly by a table with 2 girls; both had red hair and they both had the (green right for art.. I kinnda forgot! @.@) capes on. but suddenly Chanty fell backwards to the ground with a hard BOOM! the red headed girl had walked right into chanty.
Jinx picked herself up fast regretting moving at all. He wanted to yell at the top of her lungs at the girl that she had walked into but she knew it wasn't her fault. It was Jinx's, like it almost always was. She reluctantly held her hand out in shame and helped the girl up.
"Sorry" She looked away nervous that the girl was going to yell at her. StupidstupidstupidSTUPID! Jinx cursed herself.
Chanty glared at her with strong emotionless eyes. Flames started forming in Chanty's eyes; she was gonna freak. A big gust of air came from no where and Chanty's hair was flying in all directions. Every one was was shocked. She then picked up all her food and sat down at the table, besides were the girl with red hair was sitting. Chanty placed a hand on the seat and said just one word; "sit"
Sitting to the table on the left was a girl with long darkblue hair, she watched the encounter with an interest but was too shy to do anything about it. She felt sorry for the girl who got hurt(I think this was Jinx). She opened a book and started reading it as tears flowed down her cheeks. Memories started flashing through her mind as she saw glimpses of a little girl cradling her dad's limp body...
Salene flounced by a group of strange looking girls. One was on the floor, looking very mad while another was looking at her oddly. "hmmmmmmm....." she thought. She felt the silver auror around her, knowing that she wst turning invisible. The silver streaks in her hair felt funny, just like they were soposed to. She walked around the girls, feeling that they were a little mad. She focused her energy, the blue auror now taking over her, miing with the silver to make a pretty blue, her favorites. She felt into the mind of the girl looking at the other girl oddly. Suddenly, she felt a pain like no other, and fell, feeling her invisiblity and mindusing aurors fading off...... and then, blackness.
Rose felt a sharp pain in the back of her mind as a girl materializes in front of her falling down. Rose quickly got up from her seat and caught the girl before the girl fell. The girl had unnaturally long hair reaching her knees! Rose felt stares on her back and started to panic. 'What am I supposed to do now? If I freeze time, then that might work but that will let people think I have more then one endowment or even uncover my secret! Maybe, if I can get her to wake up...what was that healing spell?' thought Rose before she heard a groan. Rose looked at the no longer limp body she was holding and helped her to a seat next to her original.
"What happened?" murmured the girl before blinking her eyes to adjust to the light. The crowd started to ignore them, Rose sighed in relief. Before te girl got a chance to look at Rose, she rushed out of the cafeteria....
Salene reached her head slowly. It felt like a 40 pound weight had pounded her head. She felt the silver streaks slowly, they were still vibrating a little. She shook her head. She had a major headache now! The only time she had felt like this last was when...... Salene suddenly gasped in shock! The last time this has happened was when her sister, Alexis, was reading her boyfriends mind. The boy was very sad that day, and so when Salene had tried to read Alexis's mind, she had felt bad, very bad, but never this bad. Olivia came running over to her. "Are you ok?" She asked, sounding very concerned. Tancered suddenly came over. Salene's mouth went dry at once. "Are you ok?" he asked, reapeating Olivia. "vivimemeyou?" Salene said. "Huh?" Tancered said, looking at her concerened. "I I mean, that I'm ummmmm fine, yeah, and uhhhh how are you?" Salene silenly scolded herself. How could she be such a jerk? "I'm fine. Hey, have you seen Emma? I wanted to say something to her." Tancered said. "Uhhhhh, yeah, She's over by Charlie, why?" Salene asked. "Ohh, wll, thanks, bye!" and Tancered hurried off before he could ask any more questions. "Uhhhhhh, what was he talking about?" Salene asked Olivia. Olivia grinned, her whole mouth smiling like a jack-o-lantern. "That's what I came to tell you! There's going to be a Halloween Ball, and guess who already asked me? Charlie!" Salene stared at her. "Sooo, Tanc came over here, to ask me for where Emma is, so he could ask her to the ball." "Yeah, probably!" Olivia said excited. She looked at Salene's frowning face. "Ohhhhh i'm sooooo sorry Salene, you liked him didn't you?" Salene looked down. "Of course not. now, if you excuse me, i have to go to the King's room." Salene said stiffenly a sob. While she was running, she ran into Gabraile. "Ohh, sorry Gabe!" she said hurridley, looking away so he couldn't see her face. "Are you ok?" he asked. she nodded forlonly. "O good, cuz i waz wondering if...." suddenly he was cut off by Salene. "Look Gabe, i have to go, unless you know who that new girl is, the one with the blueish hair?" "Actually, I do. Her name is Rose and she's living with charlie." Gabreil said. "Sooooo does she have and endowment?" Salene said. "Uhh, yeah I think she's some kink of shapeshifter or something." hmmmmmmmm Salene thought. But how could she of..... uhhhhhhh.......... Salene sudelly thought of a wild thought, remembering Charlie was sort of a wizard. Could it be possible? Salene smiled. She could try to figure it out. She felt so happy that she kissed Gabreil on the cheek. "Thanks Gabe!" she said, smiling then running off. Gabreil stood there awhile, just smiling. Then sudenlly he remembered why he was coming over there to ask. "Hey Salene!" he yelled. "Yeah?" Salene said, running away fast. "Do you wanna, uhhhhh........ go to the-" Gabriel was suddenly cut off by Salene. "I have to go Gabe! Tell me later, k?" she asked. "Uhhhh..... k," he mumbeled, watching her go, yelling silenely at himself for not asking sooner. Then, with a sigh, he ran off.
After Rose left the cafeteria, she glanced at her black stone wristwatch and noticed it was time for her to go to the King's Room. She had only a few minutes left and didn't want to deal with Manfred's tedious speech of being late so she started rushing when someone bumped into her back, making her fall face forward if it wasn't for the strong arms around her waist holding her steady. She froze. Her face started to heat up noticing the closeness of the other person, she also felt a trigger of a flashback in her mind.
~Flashback~
Right when she was about to fall over the small bridge and into the stream, she felt strong arms around her waist holding her steady. She turned to see a smiling darkblue haired boy.
"Careful, we wouldn't want to fall into that stream now would we?" chuckled the boy not bothering to remove his hands from her waist as he helped her over to a nearby bench. She blushed when she recognized the boy from her potions class.
"Thankyou, Justin..." Rose thanked returning his smile.
~End of Flashback~
"You okay, Rose? I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to-" the person began to apologize though his hands were still there. Rose truned around quickly and pushed him away before running off. The blond-haired boy was so confused as he stood there for awhile when he remembered the reason he was in a rush in the first place. 'Wonder if Rose is okay....' thought the boy before he ran in the same direction as the darkblue-haired girl.
Rose was suprised to find her there before Manfred. The only person there was Dagbert. She barely acknowledged him before she sat across from him and opened her notebook to look at a picture of her and the Justin in her flashback. The two were smiling with her other friends who were laughing. She didn't know tears were trailing down her cheeks until she felt a finger wipe it away for her. She looked up to see Dagbert's concerned face, leaning acroos the table. His finger stayed for second or two before he leaned back with an undetectable emotion.Rose was confused but didn't get to say anything when she heard footsteps, and new arrivals.
Salene ran into the classroom, seeing the weird boy dagbert with that Rose girl. She glanced at them quickly before looking away. Rose looked back at her and blushed, looking away quickly. Salene set next to her and looked at her intently. she felt the blue auror again and felt the girls mind. She felt a little embarressed, and was hoping that no on e else new her secret. Salene sighed, deciding that she could make her feel better. Salene thought happy thoughts and transfered them over to Rose. She felt Rose feel more relaxed and smiled. She was just about to leave her mind when she heard a shout. "Bronz! I told you, no using your powers here!" Salene jumped and felt the connection lost. She sighed, knowing what was coming next. "I know, I know," she said. "Detiotion." Manfred nodded. "Good to know that ur finally getting it." Salene looked down at her note book. The other kids came in, Gabreil sitting next to her. "Hey," he said. She sighed again. "Hey." Manfred cleared his throat loudly. "Now, as most of you know, there is to be a ball here on Halloween." The kids looked at each other, nodding. "I know most of you have heard of it, so this shouldn't be new to some of you." Salene was sure what was coming next. "All the endowed are to entend the ball, and to bring dates," Manfred said. Salene heard groans all around her, but when she looked up, she saw Roses's eyes smiling, like she was remembering something. Salene wondered what she was thinking when her thoughts were interrupted again. "Stop complaining, you brats!" she heard Manfred say. She smiled slightly, wondering if he really thought all of them were brats. "Do you think that's funny, Bronz?" he asked. "No, i was just-" she was cut off. "Do you want another detiton Bronz?" he asked. "No-" "Get to work!" he yelled. Salene started to work when she saw a peice of paper being slid in her book. She looked up and saw Gabriel nodding, looking nervous. She wondered why. She opened the note, and in it it said: will you go to the dance with me? in Gabriels handwriting. She looked up at him and slowly nodded while Gabreil looked releived. he passed her another note, but before she could read it, it was snatched out of her hands. Manfred looked at it in disguse. "Very interesting, Silk! so, i'm guessing u want a detition to, to spend with ur girlfriend?" Salene heard a snort beside her, and saw Rose trying to hide a smile. Salene's facce got really read. "Detiton Rose! you to Silk! now anyone else want one?" No one even said a word, but Salene felt Rose tense up beside her. "Now, get to work!" Manfred shouted. and with a sigh, Salene got back to work.
Rose was a little annoyed that she got detention but it was worth it. She was starting her algebra 2 homework when she felt a ball of paper about to be thrown at her. Luckily she caught it in time and checked to see if Manfred was looking, he wasn't. She opened the paper to see neat cursive handwriting.
sorry about earlier...you just remind me of someone....anyway, sorry about Manfred. He's not always like that....

She looked up to see Dagbert starting a conversation with Manfred and wonder if it was really Dagbert. 'If it really is his...who do I remind him of?' thought Rose who continued on with her work. Salene was still flushed with Gabriel burying his face in his history book.
Luckily, it was time to leave so Rose got her detention slip from Manfred and started dragging herself to her room.
"Rose!" yelled a voice from behind. She turned to see Charlie, Gabriel and Salene.
"I'm sorry you got saturday detention...I know you were looking forward to meeting your friend..." Charlie trailed off while Salene had a guilty expression.
"It's okay...just tell Lily I'll see her on tom night," stated Rose before she turned to start walking again. Salene was about to follow her to say she was sorry but both Gabriel and Charlie grabbed her arm to stop her.
"What?" Salene questioned confused as to why both of them stopped her.
"She needs sometime alone..." Charlie's voice started to become smaller when Rose was farther away. She didn't know what Charlie was going to say but she didn't care. She turned a corner to run straight into Dagbert. "I'm s-sorry," stuttered Rose before she started walking again but Dagbert grabbed her wrist. Rose wasn't sure why, maybe it was old reflexes but she grabbed his wrist and flipped him over. Dagbert was on his feet in a matter of seconds and the room started to fill up with water. Rose started having problems breathing when they heard a loud voice. They both turned to see (I forgot his name...He's the only teacher who can't drown or be affected by Dagbert's endowment). He was furious while Dagbert stopped his endowment and held his head with an agonized expression. Rose would have been worried if he didn't try to drown her earlier. "That's it. Endless, detention!" exclaimed the teacher while checking to see if Rose was okay. Rose nodded while Dagbert finally started walking away.
Salene watched as the last person left. She sighed. Besides Gabreil, none of her other friends were there, wll, unless u count tanc, he had forgotten to do his french homework, but ever since the emma incident, he hasn't talked to her. She looked away and walked out of her room. She met Gabe in the halls, and they started talking. She heard a something, like a yell and told Gabe to wait. She felt the silver auror and the vibrating, the invisabilty working. she heard Gabe yelling her name, but left him. There in the middle of the hallway was Rose, and she was looking pretty mad. Beside her stood Tanc, and salene felt her face blush. In front of Tanc was the weird Dagbert kid. Hmmmmm........ Salene wondered, trying not to eavesdrop but just couldn't help it. She slid around them and watched the scene. How colud u do tht to him!?" Salene heard Rose shout. Salene suddenly realized tht Tanc was gasping for air, and she felt some air around them. Uh oh! she thought. Tanc is getting maaaad!!!!!!!! She heard something like a clap of thunder, and slowly water was filling the room. Salene felt herself choking a little and felt faint. uh oh! she thought. not again! and before she could stop herself, she felt herself fall, the invisability wearing off, AGAIN, and someone catching before she fell all the way, then darkness. Salene woke up the next day, in the nurses office. She felt somethng on her head, and took it off. A wet washcloth. She groaned and saw Gabe. "Hey," she said. "Hey," he said. "It's bout time to leave," he said. "Great," she said. they were silent for awhile, then Gabe said:"Soooooo, r u ok? I saw tht fall, it looked pretty nasty." Salene nodded. "It hurt," was all she could say. "Uhhh...... wll i guess i should go pack," Gabe said. "yeah, sure," Salene said. She got up, a little unsteadidly. "I should go pack to," she said. She walked out but in the next bed, she saw another figure. Rose. Rose opened her eyes slowly. she looked at Salene. "You again!" she said. "What happened?" "I don't really know, but i think it had something to do with that Dagbert kid," Salene said. Roses face blushed a little. "Oh," she said. She got up. "Well, i better go pack." she said. "Yeah, i was about to to" Salene said. she walked toward the door. then she paused. "sooooooo ur Charlie's couz, right?" She said. Rose nodded. "Yeah, and i think he's bout to come and get me, so i realllllllly have to pack now!" Salene nodded. "Of course," then she paused. "Well, bye," she said. Rose stopped her. "Wait, ur going to the pet's cafe on Sunday, right?" Salene smiled. "Yeah, sure," she said, then stepped out of the room to pack. "See you then," she said, then she left.
Rose was still paking her suitcase when she heard a knock on the door. She was confused as to who it could be but walked over to open the door. She was suprised to see Tancred standing there. He had an apoligetic expression. "Rose, I'm sorry I didn't mean for my anger to get out of control. It's just that Dagbert kid gets on my nerves and-" Tancred was cut off when Rose placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's ok, I'm sorry for pushing you alway earlier....I didn't know you and Dagbert had a history together..." Rose trailed off. "What were you doing with him anyway?" questioned Tancred curiosity getting the best of him. "He was apoligizing for trying to drown me-" Rose was cut off. "He tried to what?! I'm going to kill him once I get my hands on him!" exclaimed Tancred when they feel a tense atmosphere like a calming before a storm. "Tancred, I'm perfectly fine at taking care of myself besides....why do you care anyway?" questioned Rose. Tancred looked embarassed while his face started to heat up. "I don't like to see you get hurt....espceially by that jerk Dagbert," stated Tancred not quite meeting Rose's eyes. "So what is the history between you two anyway? From what I've heard, you guys are related since you have the same ancester. Uh-oh, Charlie is going to kill me if I don't hurry up, maybe we ca talk later?" suggested Rose before she started dragging her suitcase. Tancred chuckled a bt before he picked the suitcase for her and started running while Rose chased after him. "I'm perfectly capable of getting it myself!" Rose pouted when she couldn't get her suitcase back from him. "What can of gentleman will I be if I let a damsel carry her own luggage?" stated Tancred with a playful expression. "Who said you were a gentleman?" retorted Rose. The two started to head for the gates. Apparently, Salene and Gabriel already left. The only one standing there was Dagbert. When Tancred saw Dagbert, his expression became hostile. The two glared at each other while Rose stood there kind of awkward. "Is that why you refused my invitation to the dance? For him?" questioned Dagbert while Rose quickly shook her head. Tancred was a little suprised that Dagbert asked Rose to the dance. "I told you I dont like dances. Besides Tancred is going with Emma," stated Rose while Tancred remained shocked to Rose's emotion in that statement. 'Does Rose like me?' thought Tancred. "Whatever," stated Dagbert when his dad arrived. He left without saying anything leaving a very awkwarded Rose and Tancred whose ride hasn't came yet."So he asked to the dance?" Tancred wondered outloud. Rose nodded. "Why didn't you say yes?" questioned Tancred. Rose shrugged and was inwardly relieved when she saw Paton's car. "Got to go maybe we could talk later?" said Rose before she turned to leave. But before she did, she grabbed her suitcase from him and blushed when she felt the tips of Tancred's hands. She quickly ran toward the car while leaving Tancred there confused to the tingling sensation he felt when their hands brushed against each other.
Salene woke to her cell ringing. Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! it kept saying. Salene turned off the alarm and looked at it. 10 o'clock already?! Salene jumped out of bed. There was nooooo time for her to be ready by 11:30, get Olivia, and get to the Pets' Cafe! She looked through the closet, finding a cute outfit was going to be hard! She wanted to look good for Tancered, even if he was going with Emma. She finally decided on a cute teal shirt dress, teal and gray striped undershirt, and teal and gray stirped leggings with ballet shoes. Perfect. She checked her phone, 11 o'clock, just enough time to get Olivia and get to the Pets' Cafe to see Tanc! yes! she shouted. She ran downstairs. "Moooooooom! i'm leaving!" she said. She than grabbed her purse and ran out the door. 30 minutes later Salene and Olivia were walking to the Pets' Cafe. Salene ran into the cafe, turning invisiable immediatly. She didn't even wait to feel the streaks shimmering. Olivia walked in slowly, glancing behind her every so often. Salene pushed her ahead, starteling her. "Hey!" she shouted. Charlie and everyone looked up. "Are u ok?" he asked. She nodded. "Oh," he said. He looked around. "Where's Salene?" he asked. Olivia shrugged, her acting skills perfect. "I have no idea she said, which was partly true because she really didn't know where Salene was, her invisabilty happened to do tht a lot. "Do u wanna sit by me?" he asked Olivia. Olivia giggled and nodded, looking up at Rose from across the table. "Oooooooooo Charlie!" she said. "I didn't know u had a girlfriend! i just might have to tll Maisie!" she said. Charlie's face grew red. "She's not my girlfriend," he mumbeled. Everyone laughed. Salene tried to stiffle a giggle. She looked around the table, seeing something she NEVER imagened she'd see. Sitting right next to Rose, with his coat on her, was Tancerd. They were even sharing fries! Salene's mouth went dry. Emma may have looked fine about it, cuz she was sharing a plate with Charlie. Salene felt the invisabilty wearing off, but she didn't care. Everyone was looking at her! How could she! "Salene-" Rose started, but she didn't care. She ran out of the room sobbing while everyone looked at her. 
Rose quickly jumped up from her seat and ran after her. She didn't know Salene very well but she hated causing people unhapiness...she's been depressed since she moved in with Charlie after what happened at her old school. She finally caught up to Salene at the park who had collasped on a bench and started crying. Rose causiouslly sat down next to her...
"You like Tancred....don't you?" stated Rose slowly, not quite sure on how to comfort people. Salene felt embarrassed to be crying but nodded keeping her head down.
"But I thought you liked Gabriel?" Rose said confused. At the mention of hs name, Salene started blushing even more but Salene's long hair covered her face luckily....
"Please talk to me...." sighed Rose when Salene didn't say anything except her tears started to dry.
"I like....Tancred but I know he likes Emma and Gabriel is one of my best friends...." Salene trailed off.
"So you were using him to get to Tancred?" asked Rose getting mad.Her anger started to trigger a flashback.
~Flashback~
Rose was sitting under a tree reading when someone stepped in front of her blocking the sunlight. She looked up to see a boy with dark red hair with dark rings around his aqumarine eyes.
"Mind if I sit here...?" the boy ask politely. Rose smiled, "Sure, Dave." The boy sat down next to her, though it was a little too close as she started to scoot away and put a bookmark in her book and set it aside to look at him. He still scooted closer.
"What are you doing?" questioned Rose while standing up this time.
"Trying to get close to someone," he answered wriggling his eye brows standing up too. She quickly pushed him down.
"What is that supposed to mean? You are going out with Lily and I am going out with Justin!" yelled Rose angrily.
"I only used Lily to get closer to you," he stated. Rose slapped him.
Dave didn't seem to care as he leaned in and kissed Rose on the lips, Rose quickly broke it. She was about to slap him again when she heard a "How could you! I liked him!" Rose turned to see Lily's long purple hair running away. Rose kicked Dave and ran after her.
~End of Flashback~
""Of course not! He's a realy good friend of mine, I would never do that! Besides what were you doing with Tancred's coat? Aren't you and Emma best friends?" retorted Salene. Rose stood up.
"Of course! And for you info, Tancred was lending his when I came to the pet's cafe with Olivia and Emma. I was cold! I used to live in a very warm environment so I wasn't use to the cold weather! Besides, Emma knew I liked Tancred but she doesn't care. Tancred even knows now and admitted to having a crush on me when I first came here. But he likes Emma now and I agree with him. We are still very good friends and Emma knows that I like someone else!" tyraded Rose before she stormed off leaving Salene sitting there speechless.
Salene looked at Rose. "Whatev! i'm leaving," Rose said. "Wait!" Salene shouted. Rose glared at her from over her shoulder. "What?" she growled, her eyes were looking a bit red to Salene. Salene glared back. "Look, i'm just trying to say sorry! you don't have to be a jerk bout it!" Salene shouted. Rose laughed mirthisly.(don't u just love tht word?) "Me? The jerk? at least i don't use my friends!" she said. Salene glared at Rose with so much hate. "I don't use my friends!" she said threateningly. "Ooooooo i am sooooo scared now! the little girl's going to hurt me!" "That's it!" Salene shouted. She then lunged at Rose, but was sudenlly yanked back. She turned around. "Charlie! let go!" she said. The hate in her eyes was transferring to Charlie, but it was so much that he was knocked unconcious. Rose looked at her and siad a few words. Salene was sudenlly thrown back against a tree. When she got up, she saw red along her image. right when she was about to attack, Salene felt someone helping her up. "C'mon, let's go," the person mumbeled. She got up and followed Gabe home, while she watched Rose helping Charlie. Salene was sudenlly very angry at herself. How could she hurt one of her freinds? She turned away, ashamed and walked home.
Meanwhile Rose was softly whispering incantations to make it appear like Charlie walking beside her instead of floating next to her. They reached Charlie's house in ten minutes. Luckliy, Grandma Bone wasn't home. Paton was the only one there so Rose started knocking on the door repeatedly. After a few inutes, Paton's messy head stuck out of the door.
"Rose, I told you I need time for my-Charlie!" exclaimed Paton as he took Charlie and started making room on his bed, pushing all of his books while Rose summoned a bean bag chair and sat down.
"Salene touched him and he blacked out...I don't know what to do...my healing spell isn't working and I'm running low on my mat- LILY!" screamed Rose before jumping out of her seat and ran towards her room. Laying on her back reading a book while swinging her kunai was a girl with dark indigo hair and clear blue eyes.
"What?" she asked lazily.
"Did you bring any of your potion materials? Charlie's knocked out by-" Rose stopped mid-sentence when Lily quickly jumped and ran towards Paton's room. Rose quickly followed to see Lily placing a hand on Charie's forehead and a bright light was emitted. Charlie slowly pened his eyes to see Lily's smiling face. He jumped startled to see her so close, but ended up closing the distance and accidently kissing Lily who quickly slapped him and started spitting into the carpet while Charlie did the same. Rose was rolling on the floor laughing while Paton just looked amused and annoyed since he would have to clean up the spit later.
"I have a boyfriend you know!" screamed Lily.
"Then you shouldn't have been so close to me!" retorted Charlie, wiping his mouth disgusted.
"Well if you two lovebirds are done, get out my room! I need time for my book!" exclaimed Paton before he threw them out.
Salene stood in front of the door, pulling on the end of her braid. She rung the doorbell, scuffing the front step with the toe of her heel. She heard someone shout something then run down the stairs. The door opened and a girl she never saw before opened it. She had blue eyes and indago hair. "Uhhhhh... hi," the girl said. "Hi," Salene said. The girl stared at her for a minute. Finally, she said "What's your name?" Salene braised herself. "I'm Salene Bronz, and I'm here to see Charlie," she said. The girls eyes widened, then she glared at Salene and slammed the door, the tip barely hitting her cape. Salene looked at the door in surprise, then slowly walked away. She had a feeling this would happen. But before she could get all the way, she heard voices, and the door opening again. Almost aganist her will, she felt like she was frozen, unable to move. The same feeling was there when she was forced to turn around, then she felt the feeling leave as soon as she did. "Walk," the voice said. She started to walk toward the bus stop, when finally she saw Rose and Charlie and that other girl walking beside her. Rose didn't talk, but when they finally stopped, she glared at Salene. "What were you THINKING?" she said. Salene looked down. "You could've hurt Charlie really bad! He might not even be ready to go to school, he might still be in a coma or something!" Salene looked at Charlie. They looked at each other for a minute before he looked up, slowly whisitling in the automn breeze. "Sorry," Salene mumbeled. The girl beside Rose glanced at her, saying something under her breath. Salene sudnlly felt like she should tell the truth. "I'm really sorry! I didn't mean for Charlie to get hurt! He's one of my bestest friends, and if i ever hurt him again, i, i don't know what i'll do! And, wll, i do still like Tanc, but i like Gabe too, and i don't know who i like better, so i get really confused! also, i really like to act like i'm a fairy a lot!" Charlie laughed at the last bit, and Salene bit her lip. She hadn't meant to say that. The girl nodded. "She's telling the truth," she replied. Rose looked a bit better. "We-llll........, this is Lily, Lily Salene," Rose said. they said hi to each other, then the bus pulled up. "Oh yeah! Lily's also starting school here, the last school...... well....... there was an accident."
"What kind of an accident?" questioned Salene while Rose shot her warning glare. Lily's eyes flashed into a dark blue for a second and returned to normal. "Let's just say a really bad accident...." Rose trailed off. "I didn't do anything wrong...I just happened to burn a room down...." Lily trailed off while Salene's eyes bulged. "Not just a rom, you almost burned half the school down! Even Fred and George said it was a stupid idea!" exclaimed Rose as she boinked the back of Lily's head. She barely felt it leaving Salene even more suprised. "You should leave....Grandma Bone is going to be home soon...." Charlie trailed off. Salene shrugged while Lily and Rose smiled simutainously. The three of them waved while Salene started to walk home.
Salene walked up the steps to Bloors slowly. Now that she and Rose were friends, she felt sort of........... odd. She still remembered the fight in her head, and she was sure that Rose did to, but that didn't matter because this Saturday was Halloween, and that meant...."Can you beleive that the Ball is this Saturday, and i haven't even decided what to wear?" Olivia said. Salene sighed. "My thought's exactaly" she said. They walked into the school, going over to the Drama room. In there she saw Lily. Salene waved and Lily smiled and walked over to thm. Olivia squinted at her. "Who are you?" she asked. "I'm Lily, nice to meet you," she said. Olivia looked at her a little longer, then smiled. "your ok, i guess," she said. "C'mon, let's go!" and before she could say anything, Olivia pulled Lily away, talking excidetly. of course, Salene thought. always kissing up. She smiled and walked to her next class. Walking, she saw Gabe. she smiled, since talking with Lily and Rose, she had felt a whole lot better, which was kind of odd. "Uhhhh.... hi Salene," he said. she smiled back at him. "hi! so, i've been thinking of what we should go as to the ball," she said. "And.........." he said. "Weeelllll u know the Artemis Fowl sereis?" she asked. he nodded. "Of course, tht's one of my fave series," he said. she smiled. "me to!" she said. she went on. "So........ i was thinking, you could go as Artemis, and i could go as Holly!" Gabe looked at her for a moment, then nodded. Smiling, he said "Sure! i bet we'll be the most original couple there!" Salene smiled. "I bet ur right!" she said. Then, hugging him, she ran off to her next class. Her good mood lasted for awhile, til Wednesday when she heard something she knew she shouldn't of.
The day started out normally, so she didn't excpect anything to happen. Olivia had told her that she and Charlie were going as Cinderella and Prince Charming. Olivia said that she had just gotten an awesome dress, and said it would look perfect for Cinderella. She had also said that she hadn't been a blonde before and was looking forward to it. Salene knew that Olivia would only do something like that. Salene was walking to French when she heard voices. She poked her head around the corner. There stood Dagbert and Lily. They were yelling at each other when she caught the words:"it wasn't my fault.......... she's my best friend...... stop it!" Salene knew instantly that they were talking about Rose, and something was wrong. She saw Manfred coming around the corner. Salene sudenlly stepped out, and said the first thing that came to mind. "Watch out!" she yelled. They sudenlly looked at her. Dagbert had and odd glint in his eye. Something sudenlly flew to her head, thuding against it. Black was around the edges as she slumped down. she heard Lily yell,"don't hurt her!" before she slid into uncounsionus. But before she was fully ncounsious, she felt a hand grab her arms and another grab her leg. Then she felt herself being dragged away, obviously by Manfred when she uttered one word:"help" then she felt something hit her again, and she was uncounsious.
rose was walking down the hallway when she heard someone yell "HELP!" She ran towards the direction to find Dagbert fighting Lily while Manfred was dragging a limp body. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!!!!!!" Rose screamed before she jumped on Manfred's back. He easily shook her off but was about to knock her out when Dagbert appeared and grabbed Manfred's wrist. Manfred turned and glared at him. "Who's side on you on?" questioned Manfred angrily. Rose took this chance to observe the limp body to see Salene. She quickly rushed to her side and started healing her by summoning water out of nowhere with special properties. Manfred eyes grew greedy when he saw what Rose could do. Dagbert saw the interest and quickly knocked Manfred out. "Like what the boy over there said, who's side are you on?" questioned a voice that brought Dagbert to Lily's attention. "I'm on no ones side..." was Dagbert's only response. Salene started to stir grabbing the three of them's attention. "What happened?" she murmured while Lily knelt over Manfred's limp body. She kicked the body once then placed her hand over his head and a soft light emitted from her hands. "Was it neccessary to kick him?" questioned Rose a little amused. "Yes, I needed to know if he was unconscious....I mean Da-whatever his name is hits like a girl," replied Lily while Rose and Salene laughed at Dagbert's expression. "It's Dagbert," was his only response as he glared at her. "So why were the two of you fighting?" questioned Rose while both Lily and Dagbert looked down.
Salene looked at Rose and Dagbert looking down. "wll.........?" she said. Rose and Lily looked at each other. finally, Dagbert started. "wll, i saw Lily do some weird sort of thing with her hands, she said somthin and somthn happend! she said something else and somthin else happened! it was totally werid! it's like she's a witch or somthin!" salene gasped. "i knw it!" she said. she looked at Rose triumphantly. "i knw u were a witch!" Rose looked at her. "u can't tll anyone!" she said. Dagbert looked at them. "u either, water boy," she said. Dagbert looked hrt. "y would i tll anyone?" he said. "i told u, i'm not on any side! but if tht's the way u feel, i guess u don't want to go to the ball wth me!" rose looked surprised. "i already said no, dagbert," she said kindly. "but........." but she couldn't finish b4 he had ran away. She looked a little sad as she walked away. hmmmmm.... Salene thought. thn, b4 she could even think of anything else, she ran off to find Olivia. She had a matchmaking job for them to do!
Rose was a little confused as to what happened today when she walked into the King's room. She was always last to arrive for some reason and had to take the only unfortuante seat next to Dagbert and across from Tancred with Manfre right next to Manfred. She avoided his hurt expression as she started working on her homework. She was glad Lily has cast a memory charm on Mnafred so he didn't remeber anything except his whole body was sore when they dropped him on the floor, well Lily was the one who wanted to carry him and ended up slamming his body on the floor. Ros estarted to smile at the thought while Dagbert stared at her wondering what she must be thinking. Salene mistook this as Rose thinking about Dagbert in a romantic way and had to stiffle a giggle
Salene watched them and still tried not to giggle. While Manfred was looking away, she sent the signal to Olivia who was waiting outside the door. Sudenlly, a horde of bees was in the room. "Noooo!!," Salene shouted, using her amazing acting skills to help. she turned invisable while everyone was screaming, and waited til everyone got out, making sure Rose and Dagbert were in the room. Then, while they were about to come out, she closed the doors and locked them from the outside. She turned visible just long enough to wiggle her finger's at Rose and mouth: "You can thank me later." Then, she shut the door, leaving Rose and Dagbert trapped in there, together.
Rose glared at salene or where she was burning a hole in the door while dagbert was knocking on the door and yelling "let us out!" when he finally gave up and slumped down near the door. 'great, I'm stuck here with the girl who turned me down...' thought dagbert. Rose sat down next to him while thinking of ways to hurt salene when she suddenly remembered a spell that would freeze time long enough for her to open the door but her thoughts were interrupted when she heard dagbert voice. " can you at least tell me why u won't go to the dance with me?" dagbert wondered outloud as he stared into her eyes. "I'm just not ready to date yet...I'm so-" rose was cut off when she felt cold soft lips on hers, causing her to blush and melt into his kiss. As quickly as it began it ended. "tell me u didnt feel that and I'll leave you alone..." dagbert trailed off when rose kissed his cheek and then opened her mouth to say something when the door opened to reveal....
Salene stood outside the door, Olivia leaving to find something. She paused when she heard footsteps coming, and paused, her facing turning red. She immediatly went invisible and watched as that person slowly opened the door...
Rose froze when the door opened to reveal Manfred's red face. "What do the two of you think you are doing? This is a freakin school! Not a place for the two of you to make out! Get out of here this instant or you are going to be cleaning all the dishes instead of going to the dance tomorrow!" thundered Manfred causing Rose to jump about a foot away from Dagbert as she kept her head down and started running out the door leaving an amused yet annoyed Dagbert.
"Why did you have to go and do that? She was putty in my hands!" Dagbert whispered in frustration in cased Rose was still around.
"You still think she is going to be useful to us? Or did you actually have a crush on your prey?" asked Manfred staring at Dagbert with a cold yet curious glint in his eye.
"Of course not the latter. It was your grandfather's idea to get close to her..." Dagbert answered before he started walking towards dinner. 'Manfred, I should drown you! I was so close to fnding out what she was going to say!' thought Dagbert unaware of the crestfallen yet fuming girl who was invisble to the naked eye standing close to the door he just left.
"A dance?" Phia thought as she walked out of the cloak room after Manfred had told her about the Halloween Ball, "I JUST GOT HERE! I don't know anyone! Well except Emma"
Earlier that day she had bumped into Emma while working in the art room and she notice Emma's drawing, it had been an exotic bird with mulitcolor feathers, and it looked so real! Phia complemted her on her drawing and they start talking, but they didn't have much time because soon the bell rang and they left for their next class.
Suddenly she slipped and fell. "Read you silly girl!" exclaimed the groundskeeper who had been mopping the shining floor. He pointed to an old battered yellow sign that said "CAUTION WET FLOOR" and had that picture of a person slipping which she had to admit greatly resembaled what Phia just did. The groundskeeper rolled his eyes and walked away to mop another part of the hall. Phia looked down to see her French homework drench in water with the ink running all over the page. She looked around to see if anyone was watching and then she turned back to the paper and concentrated on it and all of the water gathered together in the center and slowly slipped out in one big drop, black with some off the ink that had mixed in. She froze it mid-drop and through it into the nearest trash can knowing someone would notice if there was a big puddle of watered down ink amidst the freshley mopped floor. She look turned around to pick up her books, but instead she saw a tall african-american boy holding her bag with her books in it. She smiled and blushed "Thanks" she said quietly, wondering if he had seen the entire scene. "No problem." he replied helping her up.
Just then the bell for break rang and the two of them walked out into the garden. Phia started toward her usual spot under a large oak tree, when the black boy stopped her "Wanna come talk with me and my friends." Phia's stomache did a sommer-sault. "S-sure" she stuttered. "Whats your name?" he asked. "Philedelphia, Phia for short" "Mine's Lysander"
"Lysander", she repeated as they walked over to a strange asortement of kids of the most variety she had ever seen. All of the people around her broke into coversation, the only one engouraging Phia to join was Lysander, but she stayed back and listened. She firgured observing was the best way to figure out names and perosnalities. Right away Phia noticed Emma was with them, but she was too busy talking to the one called Charlie to notice she was there. There was one called Tancred and there was a Rose and a Lily. "Lily" she thought, she wondered what her Lily was doing. "Proably having a normal day with normal people at a nomarl school." she silently concluded. The last two's names were a mystery because they kept their heads together so that they could whisper extremely quiet to one another. One of them was wearing lots of make-up and a purple wig, she could barely see the ends of her mouse brown hair peaking out from under it. The other one had hair that went to her knees with lots of different color streaks. Her thoughts were broken by Lysander's voice "Hey Phia this is Rose, she can control water too." Rose's eyes narrowed. She didn't seem to like the idea of another person with the same talent as her being around. "So you can move water with your mind?" Phia nodded and looked at the ground. She felt Rose didn't believe her so she kept staring at the ground all of the dew of the grass around them lifted and was suspended in mid-air. The two whispering girls lifted their heads to see what was going on. The water pulled together into a perfect sphere and froze, then the water unfoze and dropped to the ground. everyone looked at the puddle of water for a moment and then turned to their attention to their conversations once more. Lysander, seeing that Phia wasn't going to talk to anyone he started to talk to her. He told her that his power was he can call upon the spirits of his ansestors. She still talked little and nodded and shook her head mostly, but gradually she began to talk more and soon the hunting horn sounded Lysander pulled her back and waited until the others were farther away and then he asked, " Will you go to the dance with me? I don't have a date yet and-" "Of course I'll go with you!" interupted Phia. "Thanks" he said. "But who should we go as?" "Something easy to put together...um Aladdin and Princess Jasmine, you just need a vest and sweat pants I've got a genie costume that would work." Lysander looked up and realized that Manfred was striding towards the doors about to close them. "Come on, well be lock out!" Lysander exclaimed and we both ran throught the doors just in time. Finally I wasn't worried about the ball.
Salene stood, glaring at Dagbert. Manfred had walked away, and she didn't need to read his mind to know what he was thinking. His face said it all. "What was that all about?" she asked plainly, crossing her arms and tapping her new pair of boots. "Uh, well, uh, you see-" he started. She glared at him. "I didn't see, I heard," was her reply. "And I'm sure Rose isn't going to like this!" she threanted, turning on her boots. "Wait!" he shouted, grabbing her arm and pulling her around. "What," she asked, her ponytail whipping him in the face. He took a deep breath. "Ok, you see, I really do like Rose, I mean, I did kiss her-" "You kissed her!!!" Salene shouted. "Omigo-" "That's not the point," he interupted. She narrowed her eyes. "So what is?" she asked. "I lied to Manfred. I do like Rose, I would never ever do that to her. Would you please ask her to the dance for me?" he asked. She tapped her finger on her chin. "I don't know, what's in it for me?" "Just do it!" he yelled. Salene felt like it was becoming harder to breath. "Ok!" she gasped. "Just stop!" She no longer felt like she was drowning. "Whatever, I'll be right back," was her reply. And before he could say anything, she was off to find Rose. Salene saw her with the new girl, Phia. "Hey, can I talk to you?" she asked, ignoring Phia's questioning glares. "Sure, one sec.," Rose said to Phia. Salene took a big breath. "Ok, here's the deal..." and she told Rose what happened. "Well?" she asked after she was done. "Yes or no?"
Rose didnt know what to say. Before manfred cut her off she was going to say yes but after hearing what he did to salene she wasn't sure anymore and how does she know if he was lying or not? "Thank you for telling me salene. I'll talk to him and give him my answer..." Rose managed to say while Phia stared at the two not sure on what was going on. "but what is your answer?" salene asked her curiosity getting the best of her. "No..." was rose's only reply before she started to walk away with phia following her wanting to finish their conversation about bending water. Selene was confused and wanted to interrogate her but she knew they weren't close friends just yet.
Meanwhile after Rose finished her conversation with Phia, she was heading for her dorm when she felt a hand on her shoulder and shrugged it off knowing it was Dagbert from the overwhelming scent of ocean spray. "My answer is I'm sorry. I'm not ready for anything like this-" rose was cut off. "If you are not ready, I understand. But will you still go to the dance with me as friends?" Dagbert asked as if he was expecting this kind of answer. She was speechless to what to say but she only smiled and nodded before hugging him and whispering, " dance begins at seven...I'll see you at the dance . I'll be the girl with a sword..." rose trailed off before she let go of him and walked to the dorm.
Isaiah, a new student, began listening in just after seeing a glimpse of rose, and finding her incredibly attractive, began to realize that Dagbert had a thing for Rose, and did not , by any means necessary, want him to get any nearer to her. He listened intently, determined to find a way to keep them from socializing in any manner at all. " dance begins at seven...I'll see you at the dance . I'll be the girl with a sword..." this was his chance! he immediately realized that, when in costume, Dagbert would never recognize her without the sword she had mentioned. he began to follow rose, staying at a safe distance.
Salene put on her costume: a tight plack sorta like a spysuit with black spy shoes. She frowned at her long black hair. Oh well, she thought and tried to put it in the red short wig. "Olivia!!!" she yelled, watching Olivia put on her white Cinderella gown with her fancy blonde wig. "Yes," she asked, watching Salene couroiously. "Can you help me with my wig?" she asked, sounding like a three year old. "Sure!" she said, smiling brightly. After they had gotten it on, Salene added some little pixie wings on. "K, so I have this, and after the Halloween part, I'm gonna wear my black dress with the silver butterfly on it with silver leggings, the black ballet shoes i have on now, my silver hoops, my hair will be curled and the only streaks are going to be my silver ones, then a silver bow." Salene finished. "K, and i'm gonna wear my blue dress with the silver sparkles and the metallic blue and silver leggings with my silver sparkly stilletos, and my chandleir earrings and neckalce with my Cinderella blonde wig." Olivia added. Salene nodded. "Ok, perfect. I wonder what Rose is wearing..." She was lost in thought when she suddenly had a thought. "What if Gabe doesn't show? What if he forgot he saw supposed to be Artemis? What if he doesn't like me?" she said. Olivia laughed. "C'mon, you'll be fine. Nothing is going to happen this time, I promise," was Olivia's reply. If only she knew how wrong she was.
Phia adjusted her head piece and looked in the mirror, she had just finished putting on her Jasmine costume she had added some bangles and jewls to the once plain costume. She had crafted a head piece out of an old bent up coat hanger dipped in gold paint and a craft jewl glued in the middle and a pair of flip-flops that matched the costume's color. She planned on wearing a white sleeveless dress and a pair of slippers and a small forehead jewl and a white ube blossum hairpin.. she was so nervous! She wondered if her costume was too fancy or too plain. Phia turned around and pick up her cell phone and she dialed Lily's number. It ringed once... twice... three times "Hey you've reach Lily Gardener, super sorry I can't answer right now but if you leave your name and number I'll tryin' get back to you later. Keep it green!" It was enough just to hear her voice her stomaches utlra-churn lowered to a slower tune but she was still really nervourous. "It'll be ok, It'll be ok." she thought over and over again. She opened the outside pocket of her bag, pulled out a mini hershey's bar, she torn of the wrapper, and stuck it in her mouth letting it melt soft and creamy. Buy now she felt much better but still constantly nervous. ninja
Rose felt as if she was being followed but everytime she would turn around to look, there was no one there. She shrugged it off and went to sleep when she reached her dorm. Unknown to her, while she was sleeping, Isaiah started playing his guitar outside the door making Rose subconsciously forget about meeting or looking for Dagbert. When he was done, he smiled a bit before he went back to his dorm.
The next day Rose felt really refreshed but felt like she was forgetting something. She shrugged it off and started putting her outfit together. She zapped up her soul reaper outfit when no one was looking and looked at herself in the mirror in the bathroom. She decided to wear a black wig and curl her hair a bit. She kissed her katana charm and a bright light appeared to reveal a beautiful ice-like sword. She decided to wear a flower clip and a bow in her hair. She was nervous to know what people would think of her, especially one boy but she couldn't place his name or face. She decided to put her formal blue strapless dress on her bed so she could change quickly when it was time for the second part of the dance. With a somewhat confused face, she started heading for the ball room.
Salene arived at the dance and looked over the heads of the hundreds of people there. She finally spotted gabe and tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey," she said. He turned around, startled. He then squinted. "Is that you, Salene?" he asked. She giggled, "Nah, I'm Olivia. Of course it is you doof!" she said, punching him softly on the arm. She looked above him, then shouted "Hey!" she followed the person, leaving Gabriel looking confused. She spun the person around. It was Rose. "What are you doing?! Your supposed to be dancing with Dag, member?" she said. Salene looked Rose up and down. "By the way, nice outfit." Rose stared at her blankly. "What?" Salene asked. "Do I have something in my teeth?" She asked, feeling her teeth. "Who's Dagbert?" Rose asked. "What?!" Salene shreiked. "How can you not remember? Where's Lily or Emma? Maybe they could help you..." Salene turned around to find Emma's Martha Washington costume or Lily's Tinkerbell costume, but when she turned around Rose was gone, but there was a strange boy standing there, and Phia was a few feet over dancing with Lysander. "Now where could she have gone," Salene said to herself, when sudenlly Gabriel was at her side. "There you are! now let's dance," he said, but for the rest of the time, she danced with gabe or did something else, looking for Rose.
Dagbert had walked into the ballroom feeling completely stupid in the outfit he was wearing. He was wearing the soul reaper outfit and bleached his hair winter white and spiked it up since he didn't have time to find a wig. 'Stupid drama department now allowing me to borrow a simple wig,' Dagbert thought extremely annoyed but knew it woould be worth it since he knew Rose absolutely loved this Hitsugaya character. He looked all over for her and when he saw an ice-like blade, he made his way towards her. But he was surprised to see her talking to some guy he doesn't recognized...
Phia slowly walked onto the dance floor feeling unsure. She gazed over the many heads until she spotted Lysander on the other side of the room. She waved vigorously, catching his attention. He waved back and then she ran across the room, dodging dancing couples and almost tripping several times along the way. When she finally reached him she was panting and out of breath. "Remember, breathing is a nesscesity." Somehow through all that fast breathing she was able to laugh. As soon as she'd caught her breath they started dancing. While they were dancing, she noticed a lot of the people from the conversation during break. There was the girl with the really long hair, even though she was wearing a red wig Phia recongized her eyes. She saw the other girl who had been whispering with the long haired girl dancing with the one called Charlie. She saw Emma in what she supposed was some sort of colonial costume and the one called Tancred was dancing with her. She saw Rose with a boy she had never seen before and the girl named Lily in a Tinkerbell costume. She tried to stay focused on having a good time, but something felt weird and for some reason she kept feeling anxious for the people around her.
Isaiah walked out of his dorm room, hoping that the music had worked on rose. he was going to show up to the dance as early as possible, just in case rose was one of the dance organizers. when he arrived, he immediately noticed something he had overlooked. It was halloween, and he hadn't worn a costume, so he hid underneath a table while he thought of an explanation. He decided that he would aquire a foreign accent, and claim to be unfamiliar with the holiday. he got out from underneath the table, and instantly spotted rose. he walked up to rose and began babbling like a love hungry french idiot. she calmly explained to him, in french, that she was not fluent enough to decipher his senseless lingo. so he began to flirt in a rediculously fake french accent, asking her if she had noticed how attractive she was. she replied by returning the question, when suddenly, dagbert walked up with a snarl in his face. Isaiah's heart froze solid as he realized just how perfect the two would be together, as dagbert confronted rose for hanging around Isaiah. Isaiah, bright red with guilt, explained what he had done. as he rattled on through his confession, rose's eyes began to burn with uncontrollable rage, but for some reason, Dagbert just stared, mouth wide open.
Salene waited until the last song was over. Gabriel smiled at her. "That was pretty neat, huh?" he said. Salene nodded. Gabe leaned into her when- "Ok kids, it's time for our next session of the ball. We would like all endowed kids to change, and meet in the cafeteria in 30 minutes. We would like the other students to arrive at the same time, but the endowed and uh, normal kids section's will be divided. You are dismissed," Dr. Bloor finished. Salene put her arms down and Gabriel backed off. "Great, now we're freaks," Salene said. Gabe laughed. "Hey, he didn't say that," was Gabe's reply. "Your right," Salene said. She lowered her voice. "But he didn't say we were normal either." He laughed. "Well, I guess I better be getting back to the dorm to change," He said. "K," was Salene's reply. "So I'll, uh, see you later?" Gabe asked. Salene smiled. "But of course," she said in a fake french accent. He blushed, so Salene reached up and kissed him on the cheek. "See ya," she said. "yeah," he murmered, "see ya." Salene pushed past everyone. "Too bad I can't sit next to you," She said when she caught up to Olivia. Olivia laughed. "No biggie, I'll sit with Claire," she said. Salene smiled. "Well, at least you can be normal and a freak," she said. "Shh," Olivia said. "That part's a secret, member?" She said, smiling. Salene smiled back. "C'mon, let's go get ready," was her reply. She and Olivia hurried off, giggling and laughing, but didn't pause to notice Manfreds glare. Of course, Phia did, or so she thought.
