I had wanted to write about yesterday, but somehow I'm feeling a bit too lazy right now. After all, it would have been just another entry, now wouldn't it?
I started writing something...about someone like myself. But I'd rather not go into detail here.
I just got an email from Ms. Buchner. It was a bit unexpected that she would finally reply. And ironically, once again, I wasn't able to go online the day that she sent it. But the next day's just as good, I suppose. It took me a while to write the reply as usual. I wish could email the way I do with Ms. Buchner with my old middle school friends too, but I doubt they want to. Writing to someone about old things that happened back in middle really makes me remember some things.
Though it's a bit random to say, I was just browsing through my closet, and I have some new sweaters (super cute!) and shirts (some are a bit small but still nice) from Bangladesh. I love wearing sweaters. ^^ Even in the summer, I always seem to be wearing them. I really wish the weather would get warm. It's pretty irritating that it's so windy in the mornings, yet int he afternoons it varies.
I got to school this morning at 7:55. And it's a good thing the big thingy above the entrance tells time because I had actually forgotten my watch today. First period was pretty fun. I was doing my math homework, and Amy and Krilly were helping me with it. I seriously suck at doing constructions. And just like proofs, it's pretty pointless. However, I have to admit, proofs really aren't that bad once you get used to them.
I was still trying to figure out the last math construction in Writing Seminar, but Simon was able to help me with it, so that worked out. We had planned to get through one of the presentations today, but no one could get the powerpoint to work, so we (sad to say) did work like usual. Somehow, every lesson incorporates paragraphs in that class. Then again, it is Writing Seminar, so I guess that makes sense.
Math was pretty boring. And I happen to have a test tomorrow, which reminds me! I NEED TO GET A COMPASS. Ah! I forgot!!! I just asked Amma and she told me to ask Buffy to take me.
Lunch was pretty kool today. I have to say, it's a good feeling to feel equally comfortable with each person within a group of people. I did my Latin homework, and then I did Bushra's because she was working too slow (reminds me of times when Jazzy used to do my hw for me just because she wanted to ^^). Then, we all went out (me, Michelle, Lindah, Fariha, and Bushra) to the ghetto truck and Kenny's. It was cold as usual. It was pretty nice to go out though becasue we usually don't go out together. It's just me and Lindah most of the time, and everyone else is in the library. I got a bagel and Michelle and I paid for fries together. In the end, we ended up deciding that we'd go out every Friday like this and everyone should bring in 50 cents so we can buy fries and share them again. We got back inside just when everyone was leaving the cafeteria.
After lunch, we went up the crowded stairs, and just talked in front of Michelle's Italian classroom. As it turned out, Amy (Colorado) happens to be in the same Italian class as Michelle. I asked her to meet me in the cafeteria first period tomorrow, but I'm not sure if she will. I wish we could all spend first period together because I really don't like having to choose between which friends I spend time with.
Eventually, the bell rang, so me and Bushra headed for Latin class. I tried to trip her quite a few times. After the first hilarious moment, it really became a hobbie of mine. ^^ Latin class was pretty boring. I really like Latin. Learning a new language really is amazing, but somehow the environment doesn't quite suit me. Not perfectly the way I want it to, at least.
You know what class was next. Biology. And it was really boring today! We didn't get our tests back, and photosynthesis is ten times more boring than cellular respiration!!! Honestly, it was like reliving Ms. Wolin's biology classes (no offense, ms Wolin is awesome)! But, for a start, photosynthesis isn't quite as complicated as cellular respiration, though I can't be sure how hard it will get in the future.
After that double period of lab-reviewing boredom, we had history, which simply added to the boredom. We watched a video about the Incas for the whole period. I mean, 15 minute documentaries are somewhat fair, but a whole period of it? Insane. And Salma wasn't here to entertain me today sadly.
Lastly, was English. And referring to that motivation we had a couple of days ago about what class it is that you enjoy most, I think it might it fact be English. While Gym is a very enjoyable time to socialize and exercise, English certianly does probe an interesting way of thinking and reading between the lines in things. We did another worksheet today as usual, though we didn't finish. And gladly, there were no super detailed questions in the reading check quiz, so I got a 5 out of 5! ^^
Also, contrary to saying that English and Gym are my favorite classes, I actually told Mr. McManamon in global that Latin was my favorite class. Ironic isn't it? But I suppose that when you think about it, I do enjoy learning Latin as opposed to something like Biology or History.
I skipped anime club today because I felt like going home. Alexa didn't show up again for whatever reason. It's strange because she always seemed to be the most dedicated to the club. However, Mary brought in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Geoffrey brought in Eureka 7. I kind of like Eureka 7 and I do intend to watch it someday, but another day I guess. Also, a friend of mine on gaia recommended that I watch Othello, which is about a girl with a split personality, and I was hoping to watch that the next time I get some free time to watch anime.
A lot of people who normally don't show up to anime club showed up today for whatever reason. I only know that Thomas showed up because he wanted to play SSBM. I find it strange though that almost everyone who plays that game have it at home anyway like me.
The train took a long time to arrive on the way home, so I was just reading A Tree In Brooklyn. I got through tonite's reading for hw, and an extra chapter as well.
I replied to Ms. Bucher's email rite after I got online, so I didn't have much time to do anything else but write this afterwards. I really should read some manga now, since I haven't had the chance in a while. I also have to wake Buffy up at 7, so he can take me to go get a compass for the construction questions on my Math test tomorrow.
