"...some time alone..." Nyatta sat up in bed gently hugging her knees to her chest, remembering those three words as she stared up at the ceiling. She wore her light blue tank top and shorts, her long, brown hair down. Her blue green eyes were expressionless as she remembered the previous events of the day. Slowly, she let out a soft sigh and lied down on her back. Why did she feel this way?

Her and Lee had broken up. Yes, the famous couple among her friends was now no more. Nyatta could care less about the fame, she loved him no matter what. She brushed a strand of hair out of her right eye. "It was my fault..." her voice was soft when she spoke, delicate even. The teenage kunoichi closed her eyes. She knew what was coming. With a soft sob, the tears begin to fall and she cried herself to sleep.

One week later

"Nya! Did you hear?!" Ino asked in the middle of them eating ramen.

Nyatta looked up, slurping her noodles quickly so she could speak. "About what?"

Ino giggled, then beamed. "Sakura and Lee are going out! They're so cute together!"

Nyatta's eyes widened slightly at the news. "Oh..." She faked a smile so her friend wouldn't see her pain and giggled cheerfully. "That's great! I knew they'd be happy together..." her voice trailed off. "Ino? I think I'll go home...I don't feel too great."

Ino blinked. "What? Why? At least finish your ramen!"

Nyatta shook her head. "It's fine, I'm not that hungry anymore." She smiled slightly. "See you later, tell Marashi I say hi ok?" Before Ino could reply Nyatta abandoned her seat and began to walk home.

When she thought she was out of Ino's sight, Nyatta ran home. She didn't want her to see how much she was really hurting. She knew Ino didn't mean to, but her bringing up Lee and Sakura was like putting salt on a wound. It hurt. A lot.

Nyatta walked up to the door of her house and went in, only to hear a knock a second later. "Who is it?" she wondered, turning the knob.

"You looked like you needed cheering up." And there stood Naruto.
