zac didnt know what to do, he knew it was going to attack, its red eyes burning a hole right through him. hadnt he seen these eyes before? the wolf crouched down low, ready to pounce. and then...
gun shots rang out into the night,startling both the wolf, and zac. the wolf looked behind, and ran. and then...
a figure appeared. its broad shoulders and rather large arms seemed to be that of a mans. in his hand was a gun. before zac could scramble up to run, the man grabbed his arm and gently helped him up.
"you alright son?" said the man in a thick english accent.
zac shook his head. "didnt expect to see a wolf in these parts i guess." he said with a weak laugh.
"that was no wolf, well a kind of wolf i guess, but not the ones your used to."
zac looked up at the man. he looked oddly familiar, with gem green eyes, and curled black hair, almost like... "what do you mean?" asked zac.
"you'd think im crazy but that, that was a werewolf." said the man
zac looked at him, a suspiciouse, almost untrusting look. "how would you know." he asked, thinking this man was crazy.
"you wouldnt beleive me if i told you." he said, begining to walk away.
"wait, what is your name?" asked zac.
"dont worry bout it, just go home and lock your doors, that was obviously its first hunt if it was attacking a human."
"i have a right to know." said zac stubbornly.
the man sighed."my name is trent mandlin, and i was married to one." with that he walked off into the night.
zac stood there, not beleiving what he was hearing. that was lillys dad. whenever he would 'accidently' evesdrop on her she would always talk about her mom, but never her dad. was this because her dad was crazy? and is that why she hadnt been waiting for him after the game? or was she scared off by that wolf?
zac shrugged. whatever it was, it was a good reason.he convinced himself. i will just tell her tomarow. with that he walked off.
mean while, lilly was going in for the kill of a little rabit, her first real prey on her first hunt.
