And the rest of the last message is one big reference to the infamous Pokemon Red/Blue Missingno. glitch. This:
Let's see... Quick summary: It's performed off the east coast of Cinnabar Island, it is almost guarenteed to glitch something minor (usually the hall of fame), has a chance of erasing your game and/or making it permanently unplayable (like mine having the save data corrupted every time I turn the bloody thing on), and done right, it multiplies the number of items in your 6th slot by some glitch number over 99. You can find wild level 100+ Pokemon here, including Mewtwo and a version of Missingno. called 'M, depending on the letters in your name, of all things. I THINK you can also encounter a trainer, but only under very specific conditions.
So, Barley's first and second save slots are deleted due to glitch, forced to load at place of glitch, the random symbols are something glitched up bad, Jade and his screwy convo are probably an incarnation of Missingno., and the bunnies are the glitch taking place. And then Barley's game breaks. Oops.
