1000 reasons to go insane.
Allright, I told you I'd blog the con, so here I am, keeping my word. Be warned, this will either bore the everlasting piss out of you, or offend you. I don't see much room for middle ground. There will also be pictures, so click away you dirty monkeys.
I'm going to skip the general travel-blog, because you all know how much travelling tends to suck. Airport security has busy hands and active eyes. Planes are noisy, cramped, crowded and far too uncomfortable. Other travellers suck. So, we'll skip to the good bits. California.
Haven't been back in ages. Palm trees and sun. Crime and pollution. People who got in the country THAT morning, driving me to my hotel, and tossing my luggage about with carefree abandon. Welcome back Mr. Kotter. So, the first person I really see, the first Gaia-related event, was meeting Sandokiri in the hotel lobby. He has shifty eyes. So do I. I think it's a required moderating trait. We get all checked in, and proceed to con registration.
Imagine a line so full of people, that if it was stretched out, would take you over 20 minutes to walk from one end to the other. Now, get in the back of the line and wait to get to the front. You'll be older and wiser by the time you get there. You'll also be full of little black specks of hate cancer and rage. We stood in this line for nearly 4 ******** hours. Everyone else is lucky that we didn't bring weapons. Well.. More weapons than normal. I guess our fists and brains, and reproductive organs only count as a meduim ordanance. Not quite weapons of mass destruction. So close.
By the time the line was over, I could have killed you by thinking hard.
Not everyone liked my shirt. It matches my signature. I'm not surprised.
The first day was crap. Not exactly a good omen for the rest of the trip.
The second day was much better, with a much shorter line, and there were dice games. I lost no clothing. Well, other than when I took off my shirt to show the other moderators my chiseled physique, and my back tattoo. Hey, they asked for it. We met our first user in line. Go druki.

Once we got in the convention itself, we all started scoping for the gaia booth. Once located, we literally had a mad dash over, all giggling and manic glee in our eyes. A strange change of pace from the usual hellfire and brimstone, I assure you.
If you check other journals, you will find many pictures of the booth, so.. go look there. I have one for you.

Yes, they were all waiting for gaia. Specifically for the prize wheel.
We actually helped out, sneaking behind the booth, and just started doing s**t. Like, selling things, and making fun of people, and getting in the way. I'm quite good at that, it's like a natural talent.
The admins took us out to dinner, because we're that ******** cool. Sitting in the waiting area at Bakers square, we heard this odd question; "Lanzer?" To which Lanzer then stammerred, "No.. I mean, yes." User #2 = Veilside.
We had dinner, as per usual. Darknrgy felt compelled to build a soda siphon. We felt compelled to take pictures.

Then, some of us needed a pick-me-up, so they did lines of a small, white, crystalline substance off the table for small quantities of cash.

See, the pictures prove I'm not making this s**t up.
Basically put, the admins roxxor both your boxxors, and your soxxors, and the rest of your drawers and all clothing items contained therin.
'll preach long nd loud about the rest of the con later, but I'm a wreck right now. So.. more to come. To keep you satiated, you dripping, salivating masses.. I'll post some pictures.

Very dim, but this is Locke, and yes, he is offering me fireworks. I love him. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v40/Twistex/DCP_0936.jpg
