MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Merry Christmas from Wi! Last night I was watching the Xmas episode of Futurama and I actually questioned "Where the heck do you get Xmas from Christmas" .. so I Googled Xmas and naturally Wikipedia came up as a top result. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xmas "The word "Christ" and its compounds, including "Christmas", have been abbreviated for at least the past 1,000 years, long before the modern "Xmas" was commonly used. "Christ" was often written as "XP" or "Xt"; there are references in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle as far back as 1021 AD. This X and P arose as the uppercase forms of the Greek letters χ and ρ), used in ancient abbreviations for Χριστος (Greek for "Christ" wink , and are still widely seen in many Eastern Orthodox icons depicting Jesus Christ." Little things like that make me smile. 	Thanks for posting that. biggrin For as long as I can remember, my aunts have always hissed and spit like cats when they saw decorations that say 'X-mas'. They thought it meant that the owner/s were terrible people because they were "cutting Christ out of Christmas scream ". I'm happy to see that they were wrong, and once I show them this tonight, maybe they'll realize it's not as bad as they believed it to be. wink Merry Christmas! 3nodding

	Lucky you got a Wii. DD: I got a phone call from my brother in Uruguay. Today is one of the two days he can call out of the year, so it was very nice to hear his voice and actually talk to him. Merry Christmas! Enjoy the day with your family. smile

	Related to this is the Chi Rho, which is one of the earliest symbols of Christianity. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chi_Rho The Jesus Fish, the pentagram and the Chi Rho are all possibly the first symbols of Christianity. Sadly, the pentagram isn't a popular Xtian symbol anymore.
