In the Omgwe'resoscrewed clan the surnames of its members are given out wen they reach adulthood. Typically These names are true predictions of future achievments. You Can understand why Grig was scared when he got his. After the clans seer told him his name he feaked out and ran for the hills. while he was running around trying to prevent a horrible death by falling leaf he met up with a Paladin by the name of Norm Pallyguy. Norm saw how scared Grig was and was determined to snap him out of it. He introduced Grig to the paladin's code, and through that (and a few hours of beating Grig with a club) Norm had cured Grig's cowardice and trained him into a Paladin. Now Grig wanders the countryside protecting the innocent and up holding the paladin's code.
(P.S. The Beatings that Norm gave him seemed to toughen his skin but made him a little "special" wink
