Xmas presents.
I got a new review on the better version of my fan fiction. Someone is actually still interested in reading it. Too bad I've got an Xbox 360 now. I need a new TV, though. Just a small CRT television. Mine is--I finally managed to turn it to the game station! I was going to say that mine is pretty much broken. And it still is. It was plugged in when the house was hit by lightning, so that might be why. It can't pick up cable channels without a receiver, and sometimes the "Game" button on the remote doesn't work. That should be something important enough to include on the television itself as well as the remote. I haven't been able to use the DVD player on this TV for about a week. Anyway, now I'm watching Blackadder Goes Fourth. I don't want to think about how long it might be before I can turn off the game station. I also got my xmas present from my grandparents. I didn't expect anything good. Even before my parents divorced and I stopped pretending to like them, their gifts were getting steadily worse. A few years ago, they gave me a tiny purse type thing with a butterfly design done in beads and overstuffed, purple slippers that cover half of each foot in fluffy, purple feathers. Not only are both items more feminine than I could ever be even if I actually wanted to try, but the second is a rather dangerous present to give a cat owner. I've only just worn them today because water got under the carpet and got my socks and normal slippers wet. I don't have any more socks without holes, and I can't not have anything on my feet because I'll turn into a block of ice. So I'm wearing the purple cat toy slippers. They're too tight, half of each foot is still cold, and the cats do attack my feet when I leave the room. They also leave feathers everywhere. Another year, they gave me an oval box too small to be used for anything, with yet more butterflies and little jewels. This year, I got a vintage-inspired cat pin. The cat is white and shimmery. It's tail is studded with little pearls. The collar and eyes are crystals. It's wearing a Santa hat with sparkles. The details, outlines, and back are gold. I'm not sure who they think I am. It's like they never met me. If I liked them, I would probably be sad that they've obviously never paid attention to anything I've ever said or done. As is, it's just funny. My Gaia presents have been lovely, though. I think I'll buy a new television with my after xmas budget. Maybe a cheap DVD player, too, if I have something left over. I should probably wait until I can get a region free DVD player. Then again, that might be a while. I think I'm going to buy Black Adder III for a friend. I wonder if I might be getting her something that I would like rather than something that she would like. She likes anime, but I don't know exactly which ones she likes and which she has already. She likes girly stuff, but I'm not good at picking out those things. She mentioned once that she liked Blackadder, and the episodes she described were from Black Adder III. It doesn't sound like she already has it. Even better, that set has a Christmas episode. I'm just not sure it's something she wants to watch over and over, but who wouldn't? And there's the problem. There might actually be people who don't want to watch Blackadder over and over again any time they want. It's the best gift I've come up with so far. I can't go to sleep. I'm expecting a package, my mother is expect a package, and the woman in the office likes screwing with peoples' heads. It would be safer for the delivery people to just leave things at the door than with her. Oh, I'm sleepy. Too late for sleep.
