Words of a Prophet

"Chaos is the world's natural state...There is no such thing as right or wrong nor is there such a thing as peace. The world is at it's best when it has fallen under utter chaos. Soon...angels and demons will band together to throw the world off it's axis and ensure supreme chaos!" -Seraph

Prologue by the Forbidden Child

...It's dark as it normally is since the world has been thrown into chaos by the angels and demons. They both followed the words of a false prophet and abandoned the ones they use to call master. All this transpired some two hundred years ago when God and the Devil had reached a truce that some angels and demons didn't agree upon. The truce was that if a human soul chose eternal damnation or to be saved, neither would interfere with that human's choice. Instead of following orders like they normally did, they followed the words of a human who posed as a wise prophet who tricked them into overthrowing God and the Devil thus throwing the world into a state of chaos and turning this false prophet into a god of this chaotic world. How do I know this you ask? Heh...I am a product of this chaotic world. I am half angel and half demon otherwise known as a forbidden child. My name is ironically Chaos and I am the one who is to end this false prophecy and set the world back on track.
The world has fallen into a never-ending night since angels and demons believed the words of a false prophet over the words of their own masters. The angels that have abandoned their God have lost all of their heavenly grace and seem to have become as bad as the demons. Without a strong leader, the demons just wander aimlessly and create havoc. Seraph is the name of the self-proclaimed god who has knocked the world off its axis and the one who enslaved God and the Devil. The self-proclaimed god sits on the highest mountain in the world and none can reach him not unless you have wings. It may look like Hell has come to earth, but it is far worse than that. The humans are being pulled and torn between life and death, walking around like mindless zombies on the dark fallen earth. Buildings have crumbled and toppled over because of lack of being properly taken care of and not being lived in for so long. Rivers, lakes, and oceans have almost dried up because of being so close to the sun. The world itself is destroyed, literally being pulled into the depths of oblivion with no left to stop it...but me.

Story

With a blood-curdling shriek, the three-horned demon fell to the ground, split into two. A large blade that belonged to a silver scythe was seen gleaming in the moonlight, although it was covered with the demon's blood. "Tck, another Tracker Demon...These things just don't know when to quit." The bloody scythe melted away into the air as the guy with white hair let it go. His hair had come down in the fight and he was trying to ponytail it back up. "Geez! It was only just a Tracker, Chaos. You didn't have to use full power on it!" Chaos looked back at his 'angelic' partner with his unique eyes. His left eye was a freezing icy blue while his right was a deep blood red. "...I didn't even use five percent of my power. Let's get moving already Destra." The black haired angel shrugged her shoulders and flew off after the walking form of Chaos. "So! I guess Seraph finally believes you're the real thing, huh?!" Chaos said nothing as he put on his black shades. "I mean c'mon Chaos! That's like the sixteenth Tracker today! He might start sending higher ranking demons and angels after you!" "Would you relax Destra? I can handle whatever that b*****d throws at me." She hung her head as she floated beside him. Destra was one of the few angels that sill believed in her God. When the world was thrown into chaos, she was tainted by demonic souls that escaped and gave her a demonic form. Discarding her angelic name, she chose Destra and looks for her God. She met up with Chaos about two years ago and has stayed with him since.

"Destra...Are there any angels or demons here that still believe in their masters?" "I don't know. I'll check!" Chaos put his hands in his black pants pockets as Destra flew above him. She closed her eyes as she tried to sense any demons or angels that weren't corrupted. "There's only corrupted angels and level three demons in this area." Chaos shrugged and began to start walking in the forest. "Chaos! Don't tell me that you're gonna face them all!?" He nodded his head as Destra tried to stop him from entering the forest. "There's also a Purity area just past this forest and I would like to sleep before fighting again. These lower class demons and corrupted angels are no match for me. So stop whining and let's go." Destra made a face as Chaos pulled away from her and continued walking. Though she had a demon form now, she still retained her angelic human form and heart, so she vowed that she would always try to protect Chaos no matter what the costs. Even if he is a stubborn jerk who thinks he's the best fighter in the entire universe. "Chaos! Wait up already!" Destra flew quickly to catch up with him only to find Chaos holding off a lion like demon with his bare hands. "Chaos...Stop fooling around already! I thought you were seriously in trouble this time." With the simple twist of his wrist, he snapped the lion demon's arm and the bones had shattered within. Backing up to admire his work, Chaos smirked while relishing the way the demon squirmed and roared in pain. It was one of the many traits of his demonic side he let show.

The demon lunged at him with his jaws wide open and fangs dripping with venomous drool ready to kill Chaos, but he easily side stepped it and grabbed it by both of its horns. "Shall I go for the simple twist or take the entire head off?" Destra looked at the lion demon while it tried to snap and roar it's way out of Chaos' grip. "Simple twist!" Chaos raised his eyebrow at Destra's excitement. She tried to hide her bloodlust so hard, but that only made it easier for it to show. "As the 'angel' wishes." Wrapping an arm it's neck and within one quick motion, the lion's head was facing Chaos. Destra began to cheer, but caught herself and blushed mildly. Chaos smirked as he pushed his shades back over his eyes. "Come on. The Purity area is not too far from here." Destra nodded her head and merrily followed after him. Purity areas were spots that weren't corrupted when the world was thrown off its axis. No corrupt angel or demon could step on its grounds and you could sometimes find humans there, but not many. There were a few corrupt angels and demons that tried to stop Chaos and Destra, but they were easily dealt with. "So Chaos...which side are you going to go to once the world is set right?" Chaos said nothing as his ponytail swung behind him. "C'mon Chaos! You can tell me!" He stopped walking and took off his shades. "...Why is it so important for you to know if I'm going to be good or evil? Does it really matter if I fight for justice or if I fight for money or greed?"

Destra hung her head slightly as she hovered in front of him. "Chaos...I just want to stay with you." He began walking again as Destra gazed at him. "Tough! I don't know why you want to stay by my side so badly...All that means is death will be awaiting you in the future." Destra sighed as she tried to fly after him only to crash into a barrier. "Damn it! Chaos!" "Relax already Destra. Nothing will attack you. Now go rest and I will see you tomorrow." He never turned back once to see Destra's sad expression. "So...He passed through the barrier..." A young girl nodded as the guy she was talking to loaded a three-barrel gun. "Go find out if he is an angel or demon. This barrier has become weak after all." "Okay..." The little girl ran off as the guy with sky blue eyes sat back. The little girl had run all the way up to Chaos and tugged on his trench coat. "Excuse me sir...I know this is a very rude thing to ask, but I must..." Chaos looked at her and she stepped backwards. His eyes had shocked her. "A-are you an angel...o-or a-a demon?" He smirked and rubbed her head gently. "...Both." He paid for his room for the night and left the girl in awe. She quickly made her way back to the guy with sky blue eyes. "It's him! It's really the Forbidden Child, Discord!" Discord glared at the little girl and she went silent. "What? That's not possible. He's only a myth." "But I saw him! He had two different colored eyes and it really was him!!" Discord made a face and put his gun within its holder and began to walk out of the room he was in.

Chaos lay on the bed that was in his room as he sighed deeply. For almost fifty years he has been trying to round up angels and demons to fight Seraph, but all he has found so far was the hybrid angel Destra. Higher-ranking angels and demons killed the rest. Although it has almost been fifty years, his body had stopped aging at twenty due to his genes. No one would be able to tell his real age. "So...are you truly the child of prophecy or just another false a*****e like Seraph?" Chaos didn’t even have to open his eyes to know that there was a gun pointed at his forehead. "What does it really matter to a mortal?" He heard the gun click, but of course he didn't flinch. "I'm no ordinary human, b*****d demon spawn. How the hell did you get passed the barrier?" Chaos chuckled as he sat up with his eyes still closed. "I mean no harm, human, but if you prefer destruction...I can arrange that." Destra opened her eyes as she stood up on the tree branch she was sleeping on. "*yawn* Just what are you doing now Chaos?" Discord had backed up as Chaos stood up. "You have the blood of a demon, but you're still human...How'd that happen?" Chaos shrugged as he grabbed his coat and tried to leave. "Where you running to hell spawn? Afraid I might bite?" Chaos chuckled darkly as he turned around slowly. "Do you really think I give a damn about your empty threats? Spare me the stupidity." Discord said nothing as he shot Chaos in his chest. "******** you hell spawn." He put his gun back in its holder and began to walk out when something grabbed his right ankle causing him to trip and fall on his stomach. "Big mistake mortal."

Chaos' hand had taken the form of a silver talon and clutched Discord's throat with it. "Try that bullshit again and I won't hesitate in killing you, Discord." His hand returned to normal and he walked out of the Purity area completely. "We're leaving Destra." He had his shades on and was walking very fast like he usually does when he's very pissed. "What happened this time Chaos? You killed another dog you thought looked like a demon again?" He glared at her from underneath his sunglasses. "Shut it. Not unless you want to breathe you last breath, keep your mouth shut." Destra said nothing more as she hovered next him. She covered her nose once she got close enough to him. "Yuck! You reek of human sweat and gunpowder!" Her eyes suddenly went wide and she began to get even more annoying. "You were shot by a real gun!?" She looked as if she was bouncing up and down. "What did it feel like, huh Chaos?!" "Like an annoying little angel who won't shut the ******** up!" Destra stopped flying and stared at Chaos. He was beyond pissed off. What did this human do to him to piss him off so badly?" Discord was following after Chaos and Destra closely. "(He is traveling with an angel?)" "Aw...Why ya gotta be so harsh to me Chaos baby? I'm only worried 'bout ya!" Destra gigged as he ripped the head off a demon that had walked into his path. "Would you just drop it already?! Damn you're annoying..." Chaos growled angrily as he cleaned his hands off. "(This 'Discord' has the same scent as that Seraph b*****d. I better keep my guard up.)" Discord loaded his gun and took careful aim at Chaos who had stopped walking.

He was suddenly surrounded by white feathers when he went to fire at him. "What the-?!" "I've found him Chaos!!" He turned around to see that Destra had Discord within her grasp. "I knew I sensed something following us!" Chaos glared at Discord before summoning his silver scythe. "Didn't I just tell you that I would kill you if you tried that bullshit again, mortal? Do I really have to kill a human to get my point across?" He held the scythe at his throat and growled as Destra giggled. "Don't you know about hunting a half angel and demon would only get you killed you foolish little human? Chaos doesn't like to be toyed with by the likes of you." He tried to get free and only managed to shoot Destra in her wings. "Ow!" She screamed and let him go as part of her wing was burnt off. "You're no angel!" She growled as Chaos let his scythe rest on his shoulder. "A Banisher, huh?" He aimed the gun at Destra's heart and she vanished. "When will you learn not to stick your nose into other people's business?" Chaos began to walk of when Destra stopped him. "If he is a human, should he be able to exist outside of the Purity area?" Chaos looked beyond Destra to see that Discord was still following after them. "He isn't a true mortal...He has demonic blood in him." Destra gasped as she looked back at him. "He is another product of this world?!" He nodded his head and kept walking with scythe by his side. Destra looked back at him and sneered. "He's still no good to us! A mortal with demonic blood is still a useless mortal!"

"...You're fightin' Seraph?" "No. We're fighting the Devil himself." Discord looked at Destra as she grew her wing back and began to trail after Chaos. "Any leads Destra?" She looked up at the black sky and shook her head sadly. "No...All I kept sensing are corrupt angels and the retarded demons. I don't think we'll ever get an army to fight Seraph..." Chaos glanced back to see that Discord was still following after them. "...Maybe we will just need a stupid, useless mortal." "Huh?" She looked back at Discord then to Chaos realizing that he was cooking up some sort of scheme. "What are you plotting now, huh Chaos? Can I know this time?!" He glared at Destra as she bounced up and down in the air. "What do you want 'Discord'?" "To kill the b*****d who corrupted this world and all the hell spawn with him!" Chaos glanced at Destra and for the first time in their travels, they both laughed together. "Are you serious?! What could a useless mortal with a lil' demonic blood do against the one who was turned into a god when the world was thrown off it's axis?!" Chaos chuckled as he made his scythe vanish. "You can join us if you wish, but don't get in my way or else you'll pay with your head." Chaos began to walk off as Discord snorted. "And why would I be stupid enough to follow a demon and whatever you are into a battle that will cost all three of us our lives?" Chaos shrugged his shoulders as he put his hands in his pockets. "You can stay out here and become a feast for the wandering demons, get back into the Purity area, or join us. It's your call." "Why are you being so nice to this mortal anyway!? He shot off my damn wing for crying out loud!" "I hope he does it again cause you just don't know when to shut up!" She flinched, but hovered silently next to Chaos as Discord ran to catch up with them. "What are you doing exactly hell spawn?" He glared at Discord through his sunglasses and said nothing.

"My name is Chaos and not hell spawn. If you want an answer from me, then try calling me by my given name, mortal." Discord rolled his eyes as he took a breath. "Fine, Chaos...What are you and this wannabe angel doing." "Hey!" "We are trying to gather an army of demons and angels that still want their masters back in their position of power, but so far all we've found are corrupted angels and stupid demons." Destra crossed her arms as she glared at Discord. She didn't trust this human any father than she could throw him. He still had his gun pointed at Chaos' back and was ready to pull the trigger at any moment. She stopped hovering and flew up into the air when she sensed something huge heading their way. "What is it you sense Destra?" Discord noticed that Chaos was still walking and never looked up once to see that Destra was in the air. "I dunno Chaos...The aura feels like a seraph angel, then again, it's tainted with so much darkness." Chaos summoned his scythe the moment Destra gasped. "It can't be! Chaos you can't kill him! He's a good angel! He's just lost his way!" Chaos said nothing as he continued onto the slightly dense woods. Destra flew in front of him to plead with him as Discord loaded his gun with a different type of bullet. "Get out of my way Destra. I'll only kill him if he attacks me." She shook her head as he tried to push her out of the way. "No Chaos! Adam is good! I believe it!" "Still believe I didn't sell out our master do we, Destra?" She turned around only to be backhanded into a rock. Silver hair was swirling around his body as it was engulfed in a holy-like glow. He had pale skin like all angels did before they fell from grace, but his eyes were as black as bottomless pits.

Chaos sat his scythe on his shoulder as Discord checked on Destra. "Are you alright?" "I'll be fine...but Adam..." He hovered around Chaos with his six wings and smirked. "So...you are the forbidden child, huh? Heh, you don't look like much kid." Chaos snorted as his grip tighten. "Looks can be deceiving don't you know." Destra knew that he was getting ready to attack. "Why Adam!? Why turn your back on everything we believed in!? Why did you overthrow our God!?" "Why she asks...I was tired of his dumb rules...I was tired of him making truces with that jackass leader of the underworld! I wanted real freedom and I've got it now! There's no one who can stop me from doing what I want now! I serve Seraph now and that means you all have to be eliminated!" Before Adam had a chance to advance on Discord and Destra, his wings were seen flying above his head and a frighten shriek was issuing throughout the woods. "What the hell!?" Chaos smirked as his stance stayed the same exact way. "What the ******** did you do!?" "Oh...Nothing much...I'm only sparring you because someone else wants to finish the job for a change." Discord had jumped away from Destra as a red fire engulfed her. "Meet Ifrit...You know, the demon of fire you sealed away...That's Destra's new form." She had taken the form of a huge brown lion with fire whipping around her body and large black horns prodding out of her head. She wore golden necklaces and hoops on her horns that Discord realized were power limiters. A roar issued throughout the area as Adam tried to back up. Chaos kicked him in front of Ifrit and the fire demon glared at him. "So...You've returned to face me, huh angel b*****d?" Ifrit laughed and Adam tried firing his holy arrows at him, but without his god to back him up, they were like twigs breaking upon stone. "I sealed you once, I'll seal you again!" "How so? Your god is no more, you're no angel, and you have no power!"

Adam screamed as Ifrit ate him whole. The bones snapped easily within his powerful jaws as the mighty fire demon chewed slowly. "Enough. Return to your annoying state already." Ifrit looked at Chaos and laughed. "Now why should I listen to a b*****d child like you?" He raised the scythe as he shook his head. "Do we have to go through this every time you're released?" A black chain appeared around the silver scythe and Discord watched with interest. "What are you doing? Ifrit is not that easy to subdue!" Chaos rolled his eyes from under his sunglasses as he muttered a spell. Ifrit roared as the chains suddenly flung themselves at him. He strained and fought against them, but a smile was seen upon his face. "Your spells have gotten stronger Chaos..." He roared again as the chains pulled at him and he began to revert back to Destra. "At least you're growing stronger. Let's see how powerful you can get!" Ifrit was completely subdued as Destra yawned and fluttered her wings. "Wh-...What happened to Adam?" Chaos smirked as his scythe vanished. "You ate him." He began to walk off as Destra vomited. Discord was a little shaken up, but shrugged it off as he tried to catch up to Chaos. "What the hell was that all about?! Is she a demon or an angel!?" "Both...When the world was thrown off it's axis, the powerful demons that were sealed away were released and Ifrit chose to co-exist with Destra instead of devouring her immortal soul. So she's all angel and all demon thus two forms." This confused Discord as Destra flew up to catch them.

"What are you two so chatty about?" "Ifrit." Destra stopped flying as she gaped at Chaos. "I let Ifrit out again?" Chaos nodded his head and kept on walking. She shivered as she hovered behind Chaos. "Don't worry...He went back peacefully." She sighed as they reached another Purity area. "There's an angel in this one! It's a seraph too! I think Adam was trying to kill this angel...Chaos..." He slid his glasses on and walked through the barrier. "I know already Destra. Just rest and I'll see you in the morning." Discord snorted as he placed the gun in its holder. This was certainly an odd couple, but they were the only ones opposing Seraph right now. Maybe...just maybe he would be able to kill him once and for all.
