Ok! So! Here's the first one!
This is Kikuchiyo from Samurai 7:
(Not the best picture, but this was the best I could find. And it's totally kickass)
A man turned into a machine. Very strong - his massive sword and steam-powered arm can tear through brick walls. But he's not skilled. All he knows about fighting he's made up as he's gone along, by emulating real samurai.
Everything he does, he commits to it ALL THE WAY. Never holds back. Jumps headfirst into danger. Courageous to the point of recklessness. Often ridiculous in spite himself. Constantly showboats, needing to put on a front of invulnerability because he's frightened at his core. Blunt with words, eager to tell things how they really are. Also a bit cynical. Unique background gives him a truer understanding of the world. Knows everyone is corrupted: Farmers lie and steal and exaggerate their suffering while stashing treasures away. Yet samurai and bandits are cruel and make farmers into slaves, forcing farmers to lie, steal, etc. There are no absolute "good guys."
