And now for something completely different...
...or as different as a damned blog can be, anyway. It started out as a project, it devolved into a chronicling of my misanthropy, rage, and occasional fits of glee. It sounds good, though, and might even make you laugh.
Moo hoo ha ha!
Happy Day of the Dead, everyone! Have some ghost band musical stylings-- I suspect they do Rancid proud.

Hopefully everyone else's Halloween was more exciting than mine. 8:00 classes will kill your plans for a night out, as will being bored of frat parties. We didn't even get trick-or-treaters, aside from three sisters pretty early on in the night, so I still have a metric tonne of candy lying around. Disappointing, although the pumpkins looked really good. Some of them were done using the VGCats pumpkin stencils, and I might have to nerd out more and post sum pix, lol. One holiday down, two to go, although principally I'm interested in the first break in classes since early September. And graduating, that too. ninja

We didn't get any Trick-or-Treaters at my place so I have a load of candy just lying around. :3 Should last about a week. Good stuff.

Ditto Druki, and...
I think the numbers of trick-or-treaters are in decline. :0

I like it's because parents are afraid of their kids getting apples with razors/Snickers with needles/et cetera. They're looking and finding safer alternatives to for their kids rather than the door to door routine.

Granted, most situations of the needles and razors is over-hyped, but it only takes one person to ruin the fun.

I think the total number has been tapering off, and I've seen a lot of events run by businesses that feature entertainment and things like face-painting and balloon animals. That's nice, and I know kids love crafts and glitter, but there's something to be said for running around from house to house and coming home with half your weight in candy.

I think a lot of it probably is the paranoia, because I was before or on the very first part of the wave of "worry about things!" and all we ever had to do was check the candy and/or let our parents do the same. I mean, I was even allowed to go with friends and unsupervised by the time I was an older child (fifth grade or so) because everyone in the community would be up and about if something happened. Now, though, I think it's harder to just be a kid than ever before, and without really that much evil that needs avoiding.
