Eddie stood next to the elevators. There were two here, and, thankfully, only one button to press between them. He hoped it was the up button and that these were for use of the guests. Paulie had managed to get the younger man on board with little effort by distracting the only person who might've caused any issue and left him to his own devices.

An elevator dinged and opened up. Eddie ran his hand against the wall, toward the sound, and slipped himself in. He could hear another person breathing next to him in the car. "Can you hit the three, please?"

The man breathing next to him looked annoyed as if this was one more thing in a very long day. He gave a heavy sigh, saying, "You can press the button your--," He stopped, having looked over at the shirtless and scarred stranger next to him wearing a scarf that seemed to almost flap around without wind.

"Wish I could, but, no," Eddie said, turning to face the man, "I can't. I can't see the numbers, so you're going to have to help me out here."

Eddie kept staring in the direction of the man, making the long awkward pause all the worse. Those same unpleasant eyes would be there everytime the man glanced. He was annoyed, but found patientce as a means to get small things he needed from the sighted. He finally broke the silence, "Well?"

The man flinched, startled at the break in the silence. "I'm pressing! I'm pressing!" A bead of sweat rolled down his cheek and he pressed 3.

The door opened up on the third level and Eddie stepped out. Almost immediately, the door closed; the man inside repeatedly pressing the close door button. His scarf flipped out of the way in time to not be snagged by a closing door and Eddie slowly made his way along the wall toward the door to the deck.

Sidenote: (just got online) Holy crap! I nailed it! I honestly had no idea, when I was writing this, that Grunnies would be MCs this month, but the description for them on the Collectables page matches what I mentioned in part four of this story, where I introduced grunnies into the plot. Crazy.

Part eight up real soon. Just needed to break it up a bit.
