Instead of complaining to my friends about my pretty okay life one PM at a time...I decided to write a journal entry. I just wish I had thought of this earlier.
Okay...as I type this can I just say that my mom is cooking some kind of traditional Newfoundland pudding. I didn't know this...asked why it smelled like wet dog when I came home...and got in trouble... emo
Okay...if you already don't know...I am now coallsion (top member) of the Community Youth Network. It's a stressful job. And I've been really pissed at my alternate (second top member). Here's why:
a) He told me I wasn't responsible enough for the position and that I should just hand it over to him.
b) He said that no one would join when they found out I'm coallision because the whole student body hates me apparently...(like they love him so much... evil )
c) He's trying to change the traditional way of doing things...like how we write out our meetings and how dances have been put up for YEARS.
d) He left to go hunting with his parents on a very important night to CYN. It was our first community project...the first dance of the year.
e) Because he leaked false information two grade six students thought they could stay at our teen dance and when I had to tell them to leave...one of them started crying...then her teen sister got pissed...and yeah.. emo
Other then that he's got a frreakin' big ego...if you couldn't already guess.
Now...the dance went okay. When we had payed off the money for the lodge and the store for letting us have chips and pop...we had earned 55 bucks. Considering this town only has 60 something students...that's pretty good. And we did have to pay 90 bucks worth of expenses out of what we gained. Do the math.
NONE of the other CYN members showed up so I had to take three long rows of about...lets say 20/25 tables and stack them at the back of the lodge...and set out chairs. I wont lie to you...I am a very small girl. It was HARD work. But...in the end it got done...and now all the guys are amazed and think I have guns...or something.
BUT...at the dance...here is what happened:
a) Lukas (the guy I wish was my alternate) was the DJ and he hadn't thourougly checked a song for the preteen dance...and lets just say that near the end there were a few six year olds who now know the meaning of a word that begins with F and ends with K...and it ain't firetruck huns...>_>
b) One of the kids got upset or something...collapsed on the floor and started crying...we didn't know what was wrong so I ended up doing first aid...I only know that his heart race was through the roof...so he had to sit out for a bit.
c) One little girl started crying because another little girl pushed her...
d) All the little kids started wondering around outside the fire exit which is on a pretty darn high bridge for a young one to be clowning around on.
e) EVERYONE...wanted a frickin piggy back ride.
At the TEEN dance:
a) Not everyone who could have showed up did because they thought the grade sixes were coming.
b) One guy fell into the old graveyard which is right next to the lodge...and since I am responsible for everyone at the dance I had to be all " Disrespect for the dead! Get your arse outta there!!!"
c) They all complained that it was too hot and spent most of the time on the lodge bridge not dancing...even though all the windows were open and I found it cold.
d) I got a complaint that one guy smelt like liquer so I had to confront him about it and he's all like "Geez B'ye...I only had two beer!" So I was all like..." As long as ya don't show it I don't care and ya can stay..."
So...after that...I was very tired...I was white as a ghost and my eyes were all blood shot and everyone thought I was crying...It's Sunday as I type this and I've been sleeping literally all weekend pretty much.
And our house still smells like wet dog!
