Lately, I noticed something. I have a patterned approach to my Gaia activity. It's kinda funny to think that every time I log in, I do the same thing, but not really mind that I do.
- Log in. I always start my Gaia by logging in. "Well, duh!" all may say, but excuse me. I just want to put this in to make my journal longer.
Daily Chance. Oh bless be the great daily chance! I was there on those times where I have a separate window open for world map exploration; with the hopes of striking it lucky with a magical box. It actually works! But it takes so much effort, and usually it's a magical box per one month. I never really even joined that "click the links to get a magical box" scam. Like, come on! In the end, if one gets a magical box from clicking that, it's only because the randomizer chose him for the rare event as he was browsing, and not because he clicked the link. It's still very funny that threads like these exist.
View Announcements. Announcements are great! At least I know what's going on in the world of Gaia. They also give links to events, which I try to participate given my time allows me.
Approve Friend Requests. Now, this rarely happens, but I usually do this after viewing announcements. I don't really accept people who I don't know back then, but it turned out that I found it rude on my part not to do so. So I usually just approve these days without really asking questions.
Complete Trade Requests. Usually, when I do trade deals, I leave. It's not rudeness or anything, so I send out my apologies to those who became victims of me, it's just that sometimes the deal happens right before I log out, and usually, I am more eager to log out than to complete the deal. So sometimes, the deal ends a few days later after the first trade deal. I do this usually, before checking my mail as this can be finished faster.
Check Mail. I like chatting with my friends, and they have this habit of PMing me to chat. So I take time to reply to every single one. I don't really have much to begin with anyways, so it's still not a drag to reply to all mail. When I receive guild invitations though, I always make time to check the guild. If the guild does not fit my taste, I just ignore the mail instead of rejecting it to avoid being invited again. It works, yes.
Completing the "Firsts". I begin with my first post in the chatterbox. Only because it doesn't require me to think much like in extended discussions. That way, I am in lesser pressure when tackling ED debates. (I am rarely there though, but I love ED.) Next, I head for the arenas; the avatar arena. Why the avatar arena? I want my comment and vote to count. At least, there is one comment and vote out there that is not from a bot. I give in my honest opinion on the avatar then I post in my rating in the comment so the owner may know; given he actually reads my comment. The arena completes my first comment and first vote.
Freestyle. From this point on, I do what ever I please. From guilds to games, I do it until time doesn't allow me anymore. After which, I log out and move on with my real life.
And that's it. Nothing too serious, or too lax. Just straightforward activities that make me relax. I don't have to take this site seriously, but I am thankful for its existence. All my salutations to everyone!
