In Honour it says it. January 2012. "On this day of our ascension / On this day we..." Right. "Praise the fallen." Keep going, okay? Just listen, don't think. Look back. The anthems of souls bound to sleep and dream forever of victory over oppression and wars and suffering. Kind of sad. The inspiration that we can now feel over these things simply because we're not there, and we weren't there. Most of us, anyway.
Don't reflect now, it's not the time. Feel instead. We stand above. Victory, not vengeance. Not because we conquered, but because we're distant now. Singing songs of victory before we can see the end. Do we really see the light of victory, or are our egos giving off that glow?
And what are we fighting for anyway? Better question. You - yes you, there - what are you fighting against? What are you fighting for? What's your cause, do you know? And if you don't, then.. how can you know yourself?
