So then once it got dark we went out for a walk. (in out faery wings of corse!) We had some close encounters with cars so we ran between the houses. We had to check the time and since I'm using my aweful replacement phone I had to go to a light to check it. I was standing under the light of a little shed waiting for the time to show up on the phonwe when Beth saw a dragonfly. It was sitting on a bush unmoving. (For those who don't know, like I didn't at the time, a dragonfly standing still is a bad omen) The next minute the door of the open garage before us opened and a man's silouette appeared and he said "Come on over" in that 'you're in trouble' tone and we sprinted back into the shadows and through the row of houses. I was able to check the time when we were safely a row away. We didn't run into any more trouble on the way home.
Then when we got home we were discussing more of the storyline when I remembered I had left my real phone to dry on the deck! I left the sunroom and went to get it. I came back to the door and ran right into the screen! (it was dark okay xp ) I bounced off and neither of us could stop laughing. It was the funniest thing ever. I felt like one of those birds who runs into a window.
