POEM 39 - Killing Time
Every night, At the stroke of ten, I get out of bed and then,
Creep down the stairs, And through the night, Careful not to give the cats a fright,
I slip out of the back door, And through the trees, Careful not to fall to my knees,
I reach a house, And the lights are on, "It's time for me to have some fun,"
I check under the mat, And there is the key, Lying there predictably,
I unlock the door, As silent as I can, Slip through it and close it again,
I here a television, The sound of ITV, I also hear the sound of sipping tea,
I creep into the kitchen, Pick up a nearby knife, Knowing I was about to end a life,
I hear footsteps from the stairs, The sound of coughs, Now to decide whether to hide or not,
I stood behind the door, The footsteps come nearer, So close that I know they're a hard breather,
She steps into the room, I slam the door, Stabbing into her heart, now to beat no more,
I put a hand over her mouth, Holding back her screams, Oh how ferocious I must have seemed,
I let her fall the ground, Drop the knife, Smiling at the end of her life,
All of this, Was because I was taught, To try and kill time when I was bored.
I wrote this one as a pun to the old saying "killing some time", you know, when people do something just to pass the time. I then though "killing time" and came up with this. Do you like it?
~ Mythic Reality Games ~~*~If you love someone more than they'll ever know, put this on your sig~*~ I know I'm ugly, but sheesh.
