Being a host family for a fourteen yearold Nihonjin who speaks little English is difficult for the first time (or perhaps all times, I don't have experience to say for sure.) Much of our conversations include alot of 'sorry's' from both parties. And I worry about everything(a normal accurance). Especially about miscomunicating or overwhelming her. I would really hate to cause her more discomfort, being in America for a week with only a year of English must be hard enough. Me being shy doesn't help (I talk fast when nervous.) Still, she is nice and tries, so I will too.
And the odd thing is I'm hoping to go through the ordeal of being an exchange student in Japan next year.
