I had a blah weekend. To kick it off, I stood outside my school building for 30 minutes in the freezing rain because the doors wouldn't open until 8:00 AM and I got there at 7:30 AM. Finally, they let everybody in and we all sat down to take the *dun dun DUN!!* SATs.
We started off with an essay about whether people depend on jobs to determine how they interact with others and the activities they do. I said that people DON'T depend on jobs to tell them what to do, because not every person gets the job that's right for them. At first I couldn't think of anything, so I started ranting on about how my dad was a chef confined to the kitchen of a Chinese restaurant, but that didn't mean he liked to seclude himself in the kitchen all the time and give everyone the cold shoulder.
Then I used Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell as a literary example. Rhett Butler wasn't a "scallywag" or a traitor to the Confederates because he was trading with the Unionists; he even joined the Confederate army when Georgia seemed doomed.
The bad part was that I didn't get to finish my last sentence. I was tying it all up together when I ran out of time, so I had no choice but to stop mid-sentence. I hope I don't get counted off for that gonk
I also omitted many questions. I had a bagillion English sections. I think I only had 3 math sections, but that's alright, because I suck at math anyway. Well, I'm not trying to say I'm good at English xp
I just hope I did well... well enough to stay in my family, because my brother said he'd kick me out if I did bad on them stare
That's ok though, I guess, because I can always take them over, right? Then maybe this time I'll prepare for it... whee
