You used to love these cloudy days
That kept you company
But now you go out in the sun
And now your clouds mean nothing
You laugh
You play
You walk away
And if you could choose
You would pick the sunshine in a heartbeat
Unable to bare the grey
And if you get stuck with these clouds
You stay inside
You sit around
You wait patiently for the sun to peak through
Instead of dancing in the drizzle
You stare out the window and quietly sing:
"Rain rain, go away, come again some other day"
The clouds only came because they made you smile
And you made them smile in return
But you don't smile for them anymore.
Instead you count on the sun; she's the one who makes you smile now
So maybe these clouds should just leave
Leave you
Leave you alone
Leave you with the sun
They'll trudge on
Somehow living off memories of when you smiled for them
Pushing on
Only surviving by telling themselves everyday
"At least I know she can smile today"
And dream forever of how happy they used to make you
Or was that in itself just a dream?

Father into your hands I commend my spirit, Father into your hands. Why have you forsaken me? In your eyes foresaken me? In your thoughts foresaken me? In your heart foresaken me? Trust in my self-righteous suicide. I cry when angels deserve to die...
