The Whole New Adventure
Kana stared at Kron wide eyed, “That horrible.” She muttered and looked at him, Kron nodded, he was looking up at the sky, his eyes dark. “But that greater part is, we had so many supporters that the King was taken off the thrown.” Kron said and looked back down at Kana. Kana nodded and felt a small vibration. She slowly reached into her pocket and pulled out her cell phone, she flipped it open, “Hello?” she said cocking her head lightly, and Kron looked at her raising an eyebrow. “Hey where are you? I’m not going to handle the shop alone am I?” Minnie was on the other end. “Sorry, I kinda got hung up.” Kana said apologetically, giving a small laugh feeling a little bad for her. “Keep talking, with who? Is it that guy who came to the shop the other day?” Minnie asked slowly. “What, how did you know about Kron?” Kana asked and Kron chuckled. “I meet him out on the side walk, he’s really nice.” Minnie said, but Kana noticed the voice was getting closer, not in the cell phone. “Your not at the shop Minnie, I can hear you walking and talking.” Kana laughed and looked in the forest, when she heard a twig snap.
Minnie appeared from the bushes, “I’m not that good at hiding am I?” Minnie laughed and closed her cell phone; she had a few bags in her hand. Kana felt Kron stand behind her and she saw him walk over to Minnie. “Thanks for bringing them Minnie.” Kron said and smiled at her. “Sure, I mean if it has to do with my girl Kana I’ll do anything.” Minnie smiled. “Here let me take those.” Kron said and took the suitcase like bags from Minnie’s hands. There were a few, maybe four or five. “What is it?” Kana asked slowly. “Food, clothing, stuff like that.” Kron said and set the bags down in front of Kana. Kana looked at them, “What are they for?” she asked and picked up the first bag, examining it carefully. “We’re going to find Nork, and get him out of there.” Kron muttered. “What, why can’t he do it himself?” Kana asked “He’s strong, and I’m sure he could find the portal back to your world.” Kana said, and Kron grabbed her shoulder making her wince, “Yeah, Nork is strong, so what, against about fifteen guards, he would die in an instant.” Kron hissed. “What do you think two more would do?” Kana hissed back quickly loosing her temper. “Three!” Minnie jumped in; “You don’t think you’re leaving me behind do you?” she added and smiled at them. “Minnie you can’t go, it’s dangerous!” Kana said and quickly stood up walking over to her friend. “Of course I’m going! Kron already told me I could.” Minnie pouted, and looked over at Kron. “What?!” Kana almost screamed as she turned to look at Kron, who only gave an innocent smile a she let go of her shoulder. Kron walked over behind Minnie, “Come on tell me you can’t resist that face.” He said and chuckled referring to Minnie’s little. “Actually I can.” Kana watched them for a moment, then Kron slowly began to pout, a small bit of his pointed teeth showing. “Ok!! Ok stop! You can come just stop!” Kana laughed and both Kron and Minnie smiled at her.
“You’re really easy to persuade!” Kron laughed as he, Minnie, and Kana walked through the woods, a back pack slung over there shoulders, except for Minnie. Kron had persuaded Minnie to let him carry her bags, well most of them, she insisted that she carry at least one thing, so she would feel like she was helping at least a little. “We should stop for the night, we can continue in the morning.” Kron said, they had already been walking for a few hours, and it was probably around midnight. “Where are we going anyways?” Minnie asked as they all put down they’re bags watching as Kana collapsed on the ground, her five bags crowded around her. “I thought I told you we’re going to the Portals, they’re not that far from here maybe five miles or so.” Kron said as he began to put the tent. Minnie nodded, “I still can’t believe all this.” Minnie said and smiled widely as she looked at Kron then Kana. “What do you mean? About the troll part or what,” Kana asked. Kron chuckled lightly, and continued setting up the tent, after finishing, he grabbed a few blankets and crawled inside to spread them out. “No but when I was little, like ten year old little, Kron was my babysitter.” Minnie laughed. Kana looked at them in surprise, “Your mother let a crazy b***h like that baby sit you?!” she laughed. Kron stuck his head out of the tent, “Just to let you know I was a very good babysitter, you know why?” he chuckled. Minnie nodded, smiling, Kana shook her head, “Because,” Kron said before putting his head back into the tent for a minute, before fully coming out, “None of my kids died.” He said and smiled triumphantly as he looked at the tent, then he walked over to grab the bags. “Uh, Kron, the tent is about…”Minnie stopped and as Kron turned around the tent fell to the ground, “You’ve got to be kidding me!” Kron hissed, “I spent like a whole hour setting up that tent!”
“Twenty minutes.” Minnie said and laughed loudly. “Why I outta!” Kron jumped on top of Minnie and they rolled around laughing and screaming. “Children,” Kana said and shook her head as she walked over and began to set the tent back up, but she smiled all the way. She finally had two friends to trust and a whole new adventure ahead.
b]The Portals
“Stop squirming!” Minnie snapped and sat up, “What?! How would you feel if you had to sleep with two boys?” Kron muttered crossing his arms over his chest. “It depends on the boys.” Minnie laughed and Kana rolled her eyes, “Just shut up and sleep!” she hissed, and pulled her blanket over her head. They had decided Kron had to sleep in the middle of them, so well they thought no one could do anything with him, not that Kana wanted to. When things got quite for about a minute she heard a small yelp, “You kicked me!” Minnie growled, “I’m sorry I don’t mean to!” Kron said in a whinny voice. Minnie sighed and layed down pulling the covers over her head, Kron did the same.
Kana finally went to sleep; she was back in Imaginary with Nork. A large meadow surrounded then, although it was still dark, Kana could see the flowers perfectly. The dark red flowers mixed with the purple and the white, these flowers always made her smile, that’s why Nork always brought her here. Nork had made this meeting special, although Kana didn’t know how, he got her an old style dress, although he was still wearing jeans but he had a better shirt on. Kana laughed as Nork pushed her forward, his hands over her eyes. “Ok, we’ve been walking forever just tell me what’s going on!” Kana laughed. “Is ten minutes your forever?” Nork whispered in her ear lightly and Kana laughed harder, “No but it’s long enough.” She said. “Fine, then sit.” Nork chuckled and pushed her to the ground, her eyes could now see. Kana looked around, she had always loved this field, but she had never gone this far out. There were more flowers than ever, their colors deeper, their stems thicker. Kana smiled, “It’s beautiful.” She said softly, looking down she was on a checkered blanket, Nork sat down next to her putting his arm behind her back.
Kana smiled, leaning back against his arm. She closed her eyes leaning her head lightly against his shoulder. Nork smiled, closing his eyes as he leaned his head on hers, and began to hum lightly. Kana recognized the tune, it was something he was singing when she first found him, and he had turned this small song into her lullaby. Kana was trying not to go to sleep; she slowly opened her eyes, and took her head lightly from Nork’s so he could pick his head up. “What?” Nork asked slowly, and looked at her, his eyes were soft, a sky blue color so Kana knew he was happy. “Nothing I’m just thinking.” Kana said softly and smiled at him. “Here let’s go back to my place; I want to show you something.” Nork said and stood holding out his hand to help her up. Kana took his hand and he began to lead her through the woods.
“Nork I know this is a strange question to ask, but is there ever sun shine here?” Kana asked slowly, giving his hands a small squeeze. Nork sighed and looked up for a moment, “Not that I know of, but it does sometimes I would guess.” He said softly, and opened the door to his house for Kana. Kana was in awe, she had never been to Nork’s house, and it was gorgeous, it was even better than Kron’s. Everything inside was old, classic, and rustic. But the thing that stuck out in the dining room was a large grand piano; you could tell it was freshly polished, as the keys glinted, as Nork turned on the lights. “Come on this way.” Nork said softly, touching the small of her back as he prodded her forward. He pulled up a small chair that was white, well almost white. The paint was chipped, which made the chair look even older that Kana thought it was. Kana set down, moving her dress so it wouldn’t crinkle, once while Nork walked over and sat down in front of the piano. Kana smiled widely as he began to play her lullaby once more. Although this time it was different, it seemed to make Kana tired instantly her eyes began to close as she tried to stay awake. Suddenly she fell over, her mind spinning as she felt a swift wind and someone grab her. “I’m so sorry Kana.” She heard Nork’s voice faintly before falling unconscious.
Kana slowly woke hearing more than one voice outside the room. She was on Nork’s bed, she guessed, she tried to sit up, but a large clank pulled her back down. Chains were around her wrists, she screamed “Nork!” she shouted and pulled at the chains. The door flung open, and Nork was at her side, his hand over her mouth. “Shh, please don’t talk.” Nork said softly. Kana’s eyes widened as three others walked in the room, all wearing shining armor over heavy leather, swords at their sides. But the worst part was when they smiled, fangs shown in their mouths; although one didn’t have fangs, he looked human. Kana pulled away, “Nork what’s going on?” she said softly, and pressed her back against the cool head board. One drew his sword, “Do be a sweet heart and stay still.” One chuckled pressing his sword to her throat. “Nathaniel you have no right.” Nork hissed and kicked his sword away, then leaned back. “Kana you need to wish yourself out of here, you need to run out before anything happen.” he said softly in her ear. Nathaniel lunged forward, and Kana closed her eyes, “I want to be out, and protect Nork.” She muttered as if praying almost; and she disappeared. Nork froze hearing to metal clang against the stone head board. “You b*****d, you promised!” Nathaniel hissed, and lashed out. Nork reached out grabbing Cormier’s sword from his shaking hand and lashed out, blocking the attack. “The only reason you are here is so you would die.” Nork hissed, and swiped down, and Jedidiah blocked, and then he suddenly froze. Nork saw a bit of blood trickle over his shoulder. Nork looked away as he fell to the ground, and a thud sounded as his head hit the metal railing. Nork slowly opened his eyes, the other knight was on the ground the only one left standing, “Jedidiah?” Nork asked slowly his eyes wide, as the human stood there panting. “I knew you would need help, just because I’m a King’s knight doesn’t mean I have a soft spot for humans.” He said slowly. A large smile spread across Nork’s face, he was covering his nose forcing himself not to breathe in the rank scent of blood.
