Kai is a young neko that looks eighteen when in fact he is only seven years old. He had a curse placed on him by his first master that he would age faster than normal. The only way to negate it is to wear a special collar that stops the accelerated aging. He must wear it at all times. He escaped his master and found a new home but she tracked him down. She took him and tortured him for many days. He was saved by his father and returned home. A woman named Ukaia adopted him but soon after, a man names Shadow bought his contract and now owns him. His mother tried to prevent this from happening but to no avail. Shadow now trains him for some reason that is unknown to Kai.
