I had a pretty decent day I guess.
Most of my classes went fairly well, except for math. Which was surprising. I ******** up on the last test, so my mark dropped. I made some pretty stupid mistakes, but oh well. I'll do better next time I guess.
Afterwards, to escape the masses of screaming monsters my sister had invited over, a couple of us went downtown to go shopping. It was the first time that I'd been driving in the car with Mon, and no parentals. It was actually the definition of freedom. It was just the girls, laughing and having fun. we didn't have to watch what we said or talked about, we could just be us. It was great.
So we get downtown and there's construction and roadblocks and we're taking detours and trying to find a parking space and it really wasn't working out for us. Eventually, after much driving in circles, we finally found a good place. I swear, I thought we'd never actually make it to shopping. We had such trouble even trying to find our way out of the parking lot.
So we finally make it out into the market and start trying to make our way over to the Rideau centre. We see Sassy Beads and make a detour. Holy crap, that place has gotten friggen big since the last time we've been there. It used to be just beads, but now there's clothes and shoes and these super kick a** hats!!!
Holy crap, if I was a rich old woman, THOSE are the hats that I'd wear. When I was little, it was my life's ambition to own one of those hats and have a big hat box for it. We tried them all on and were going to take pictures, but realized that no one had their camera. Of course NOW, once I'm already at home, I realize that Mon has a camera phone. Good one lindzer. Sad thing was I was actually considering buying it, just for the sake of having one.
So then we start trying to make our way over to the Centre, but get stopped at Sugar Mountain. I feel really sorry for the poor guy at the cash. We were making quite the racket. Mon and I were 'starting fights' and everyone was actually failing worse than I was. I'm pretty sure we scared him. A lot. When I went to pay for my stuff, he had a nervous grin and I'm pretty sure he thought I was going to attack him. Poor guy.
Anyways, we set out again. By this point, we're about 10 feet from the actual Rideau centre, so we didn't get sidetracked.
Shopping itself was rather uneventful. Alex bought her shirt, which is really spiffy (fingers crossed that the father will like it) and Stine got a spiffy sparkly halter, which is also very cool. You know, I just realized something. I never actually tried anything on. Wow. I'm dumb.
After waiting an uber long time to get some damned yogenfruz (which was very good, I will admit) we all left. We wandered around until we found the right parking lot and then struggled to find our way out of it again. Then, we got lost on our way out and ended up on the 417. At this point mon yells 's**t! I didn't want to be here!' which kinda freaked everyone out, because we thought that she didn't know what she was doing. Twas rather stressful until we found ourselves again. THEN, Jett came on the radio, and we blasted it and started dancing. It was friggen amazing.
So yeah, they just dropped me off at home. Some of the mob is still here, but the numbers have been reduced to like...5. So it's ok. There's one boy and he kept trying to make excuses to go into the room when the girls were changing. Stupid kid.
So yeah, I'm off. I've gotta get organized for soccer tomorrow.
Which reminds me, once we get back into the market tomorrow, I vote we stop by Sassy Beads so we can take pics with the hats. They're awesome
