Godi's daily ponderings
The events of the day that I feel are important, my thoughts on certain subjects, the occasional rant and whatever else I feel the urge to write about.
Soccer Tournament
I'm kinda having mixed feelings about the tournament.

What I can say for sure is that we had HORRIBLE luck. On the way there, the van that I was in broke down, so we put as many girls as we could into the other car and they went on, while we stayed behind and waited for a replacement car.

The game we missed they tied 2-2, but apparently it was a pretty crappy game and they could have beaten them by a lot more.

Our next game we lost, which is actually the game that screwed us over for the whole tournament. We were winning the entire game, and in the last two minutes, the other team (Nepean) scored two flukey goals. They both bounced weird and should not have gone in. Booo!

We went back to the hotel, changed and ate some A&W (Jess swiped one of the glass mugs from the restaurant >.< wink , then we went back to our room, where we amused ourselves with the stuff Fio's mom sent with us. Jen french-braided my hair, we all put the green sparkles in our hair, used the green makeup and put on green ribbon and nail polish. It actually sounds a lot more girly that it was. We thought of it more as war paint than makeup xp

Next, we played KCVI, whom we beat 3-1. We all had a pretty good game.

After getting back to our rooms, we showered and got ready for bed. We just to happened to have a room with a door that could be opened with a well-placed hip check. That was convenient, but also scary. Anyone could open our door. We were in the room next to these guys from Hillcrest, who were friggen annoying. They kept banging on the walls and our window. We got Jamieson to come into our room, and he stuck his head out our window and told the boys that if they wanted to play tomorrow, stopping would be a good idea. They did. biggrin

There was some drama during the night as well. Most of the boys were drinking and two of the senior girls were. One guy passed out, which really wasn't good. Two of them have a 5-day suspension now, because they got caught. Some of the girls were out passed curfue and got caught trying to get into the hotel through a boy's room. They got benched for the first shift of the game. It was pretty sad though, they had to put teachers out in the hall, tape doors shut and impose confinements to their rooms for people to behave. Some morrons decided to have an ice fight in the hotel, late at night. Gah!

The next day, we played Co...something. We should have beaten them too, but our goalie got caught too far away from the net, and there was nothing she could do about it. We ended up with a tie, which was ok. A win would have guarenteed us a place in the playoffs.

So, we watched a game between Nepean (the team that beat us 2-1) and the blue team (whom we beat 3-1) For us to advance to the playoffs, we needed Nepean to either win or tie, which they should have easily done. But didn't. The bastards. stare It actually sucked, because a team that we beat advanced because of a game that we weren't even playing in. Stinky.

Our last game we won 2-1, but we kept breaking down. No one was talking, or marking and it was all just a big friggen mess. For their one goal, there was this big scramble infront of the net and my player moved off to the side. There was a big gap in the middle, where the midfielder was supposed to be, and the girl on the other team with the ball was coming right down it. I made a judgement call and left my girl to block off the gap and her shot went high and bounced off the boards. The girl I'd been covering and run around, took the rebound and scored. So then I've got a certain team-mate of mine bitching at me that I should have had her, while I'm telling her that she wasn't there, so I had to leave her. She said she was there. Well obviously you weren't if the gap was still there. Anyways, I don't care what she thinks. That was the only goal of the entire tournament that happened on my shift, and the rest were on hers. If she had been where she was supposed to be, I wouldn't have left my girl. It's not ONE person's fault, it's a breakdown in the team.

We did have a lot of fun while we were there, but I was really getting irritated by my roomates. In small doses, they're great, but for such a long time, they're too friggen loud. They have these LOUD, obnoxios laughs that drove me crazy and would start talking about how much they hate someone or how fat someone is as soon as they left. It really started to make me sick. The sad thing is, my sister (who was also on the team) is exactly the same as they are. I can't stand being around her, especially when she has her princess attitude going on. I just want to ******** slap her upside the head. Gah, it's either them or the rest of the princesses who brought hair straighteners and makeup and clothes for going out with them. Damnit, you don't need to impress guys every waking moment!

I went downstairs for breakfast, into a room full of guys in my pj's, without makeup and my hair exactly the way it was when I got out of bed (didn't touch it at all) for Christ's sake. It's not a bloody beauty pagent.

So yeah, while it was fun (especially the car rides) I still prefer hanging out with you ladies.

Later ladies,
-Godi

Ah prosti-tots...such amusement and frustration they bring.

And I mean, there's a difference btwn looking nice everyday just b/c you want to for yourself and looking nice for the mere purpose of attracting once-overs from a bunch of guys.
