"There's nothing we can do," Momo sighed as they went out from the nth shop that were selling dogs. "We're a few Ks short..."

"Within 2 months, the bank will return our money," Eiirisa reminded them. "At least we know how much we'll need to get us a dog by then. That 31.8k dog is the cheapest we can get."

"31.8k..." her pets drifted in their thoughts. Mimzy was worried about the cashflow. Momo was mentally preparing to perform in the streets if they ever go broke. Meat was terrified he would starve to death.

"Hello, there, can you please donate to me?" A guy suddenly emerged in front of their way. He looked suspiscious. "I just got scammed and i really need money to get a Damascus Armor. If you donate to me, i will surely repay you someday."

"Uh, we dont have much money ourselves," Eiirisa brushed him off. "Sorry, cant help."

"Well, just give me whatever you got," he got closer. "I really really need the armor right now and i would greatly apprieciate it if you can help me."

"What?" she backed away. "You cant tell me to give you everything!" Her pets were getting uneasy too.

"Well, i got scammed and they stole everything," he explained. "Cant you at least show some pity on me?"

"Its not my fault you got scammed," she shot back. "Cant you make your own money? I already said i cant help you, okay. Would you stop begging?"

"Lets make a run for it..." Meat whispered. He had cold sweat.

"How about you sell your pets and donate me the money?" the guy smiled at his great idea. "C'mon! I know the nearest pawn shop." He was about to grab her hand when she dashed at the opposite way, leaving the guy behind. But to their dismay, he was chasing them and he was fast.

"Run to the crowds!" Mimzy said between breaths. "It will confuse him." And off they shuffled into the crowds but unfortunately, the guy managed to detect them and wont stop chasing. So they ran and ran and went into corners and lanes and alleys until...

They stopped at a dead end.

"We're doomed!" Mimzy screamed. As they turned around, the guy was already behind them, smiling smugly.

"I knew you had a fortune with you," he walked towards them. "Otherwise, you wont run that fast. Now hand me those golds, or else..."

"Or else what?" another guy appeared behind him. He seemed to be well suited and have a G badge on his chest. But before the chaser could say or do anything upon his presence, a laser came out of nowhere and electrocuted him. The chaser fell on the ground...

Eiirisa was too shocked to react. She just witnessed a murder and wondered if she now fell prey to a more dangerous hand. This time, she definitely cant run away. She watched the guy walked towards the body and kicked it.

"Uh, sorry if i scared you and your little friends," he looked at her with a smile. "Dont worry, he's alive but i think soot face suits him best though." The guy on the ground had sever burns because of the laser beams.

"H-how did you do that?" she finally let a voice out.

"No, it wasnt me," he snapped his finger to signal something to come. "It was this little buddy." Beside him, came a little robot. It was moving stealthily but silent; no wonder she didnt realized it's existence just now.

At this moment, everyone was staring at the robot for a long time. There was a heavy silence circulating the dead end alley.

"Do you want to buy 'him'?" the guy suddenly blurted out of nowhere. "He's very useful, efficient, and a multipurpose invention. I can sell him to you if you're interested."

"What? What. No," she stammered. A moment ago she wanted a dog and the thought of having a robot was great but oh how much more will it cost her. "No. I-I cant... I remember seeing this robot in tektek, it had an unknown value. I bet he's worth more than a fortune."

"7.5k take it or leave it. We have an army in our headquarters anyway," he was about to drag the unconscious guy away. "You just looked like you needed 'him'."

"WHAT?!" Eiirisa and her pets exclaimed in surprise. He was going to sell them 'security' for that price when they had been trying hard to find a cheap dog... which didnt sound much cheap anymore compared to the robot.

"I got to report this dude to the mods. So i need to leave now," he said. "So what do you say?"

Eiirisa was still deep in her thoughts. She's short on gold to get a dog and if she still wants a dog, she had to wait about 2 months for the bank to return her money. Plus, with the current situation of banks shutting down, home isnt a safe place to keep her golds although there are no options left. She cant face 2 months of tight precautions on the atelier or risk being robbed. She desperately need to tigthen up security...

Finally she said to the guy, "Uh... do you have a user-manual?"
