Journals were offline last night, so I couldn't post an entry; rest assured, though, I DID write my poem. :B I had to do it fast, though, because I got home really late; I went to watch the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie with some friends last night. x0 It was great! I loved the movie, and the company was lovely. : D Since it was the very first showing, it was packed full of fans dressed in varying degrees of pirate garb; I think that out of my group, my regalia was the closest to complete (leather shoes, long black-and-white striped socks, a brown linen shirt with knot-toggle buttons, three nifty necklaces, an equally nifty earring, and a headwrap). ;| Being in the theatre with the dedicated fans was a fun experience, because there was much cheering and clapping, though at the very end of the epilogue, when a final rousing cheer went up from the fangirls for a partially-de-shirted and badass-looking Orlando Bloom, I found it necessary to shout "He's not that great! xD" Kaylei advised me that if I wanted to survive the wrath of the fangirls, I might want to knock that s**t off. :'X Oops.
When I got home, it was really late, but I still managed to scratch something out, short and crappy though it may be.
Round Four
Trickling down over the crinkles of your lips
(drawn up delicate and pressed into a smile)
our lives are silks strands
poured into your hands.
Backs bent, our knuckles scrape the sand
to lift high your trailing robes,
heavy with blood
and sea.

How Disturbing.
It's a Gaia Journal. You know the drill. Stuff you don't care about, written by someone you don't know. :0
