Edit:This a song type thingy we're working on in creative writing. It's just been finished, but I wanted for Ze to read it and didn't want to ruin our jounal's -ness with it. Anyway, Cheers! (Ze, just guess the topic. I've only been going on about it since the break. rolleyes )
Caffeine Secrets
Caffeine highs
And sugar lows
Control our gossiping.
I postpone a final note
And quirk a simple smile.
They slowly fall
One by one,
All bodies strewn around.
She grins and says
"It's like they're dead"
And then our night begins.
[Chorus]
Liquify my DNA,
Drown a realization.
Prickling heat rising up
Increasing in recognition.
We tell our secret stories
Of night lack velvet:
Heavy, dark and plush.
The clock ticks steadily on
Sweaping away
Our hold on reality.
A gentle murmer
Flexes its hand
And pulls the fabric away.
I stand still
Poised above my recollection;
Paralyzed.
[Repeat Chorus]
[Bridge]
A Jackhammer pulse
Nails me down
In my couch cushion.
Don't look at me now!
[Repeat Chorus]
The host has her laugh
As the other
Lowers to the pillow.
Sleep consums us
Body and mind
In a yawning gulp.
Breaking groggily through
The bright seal
Of morning,
I imagine
It was a dream,
Still secret and confine.

I loved the line "They slowly fall One by one, All bodies strewn around. She grins and says "It's like they're dead" And then our night begins." This reminds me of something Rammstein might say! The only error was that it was too long, but if it was intended to be a song, then I suppose it should be longer then a poem. 3nodding
