Do you remember the butcher;
his man-fed pies?
Do you remember the farmer;
his meat supplies?
Remember the lives of long ago,
as I walk through the land of snow.
Do you remember the florist;
her healthy soils?
Do you remember the officers;
how they toiled?
Remember the times of long ago,
as silence rings the land of snow.
Do you remember the coroner;
the crematorium calls?
Do you remember the minister;
how he falls?
Remember the rhymes of long ago,
as puzzles make the land of snow.
Do you remember the fires
and how they burned?
Do you remember the children
who won't return?
Remember the cries of long ago
as ash now falls on the land of snow.

- Very Nice! I really enjoyed this piece. Now Im not sure if you are referring to a event in time when you talk about the "land of snow" but even if tis jsut a made up place, fantastic job of creating a nostalgic feel...Your structure of the poem was interesting, I liked it...The only content suggestion i would make is the second and third couplets could be made more relevant to the theme but nevertheless, good job!
