Zoom in to focus
Zoom out to feel
Unclear, yet crystal
Unclear like steel
Reflect my mirror image
Reflect something more
Knock ‘gainst my spirit
Knock twice at it’s door
A password, a puzzle
I pass word in the trees
Whisper my secrets
Whisper heard my a breeze
Carry on to the distance
Carry on to the sea
There’s nothing to stop it
There’s no one but me
I let it go onward
I let it escape
It bleeds up and changes
It starts to take shape
Gray hands now reaching
Gray feet now run
A body now standing
Body clear ‘gainst the sun
Silhouette of a figure
Silhouette of a man
I belong to this secret
He beckoned.
I ran.
Confused, running onward
Confused, running back
Not sprinting ahead
Not sprinting, I lack
I can’t go on forward
I can’t see ahead
He runs in the front
Runs like he’s dead
“Run faster my child,
Run faster with me.
Don’t take a path
Don’t look and don’t see.”
Keep going and going
Keep going, don’t stop
Wet feels the body
Wet like a mop
I just keep on running
I just cannot feel
Water runs in my veins
The water, my steel

- Title: Steel
- Artist: MaryDaRock
- Description: Based of another poem I wrote entitled "Gray Man", which the world will never read, ;D. Gray Man is the man inside of all of us, that unconsious desire to do something, the push to do something. Not always the right thing, but the most desirable thing for sure.
