This wedge is driving us apart.
Ripping us asunder.
The destination is not of the heart.
So just pull me under.
Were they all but dreams?
Here, and then forgotten?
Just waiting to rip at the seams?
A brief savior from all that's rotten?
It all seems to wonderful now.
Back when you were still my friend.
Before it was all so foul.
I don't want this to be the end.
But it is the conclusion.
The final curtain call.
One last dance, without intrusion.
Then we'll watch that red velvet fall.
Fin.

- Description: This is a poem I wrote a month or two ago, I didn't really like it... But a friend of mine pressed me into putting it in here. I wrote it during a time that I felt like I was losing someone dear to me. There's one spot in it where the rhyming is broken, but it still flows well, so it works just fine, in Rodi's opinion.
