• I stared out to sea for hours today, Watched the tall, towering tempest,
shadowed in the grey. Felt the wind throw gales against my cold
bare arms, feeling lost within the moment, yet found within the
calms. Heard the harrowing crash of the waves meet land,
smelt the sweet sea salt, flung high across the sand.
The hazy vapour drifted as it danced upon my
tongue, as bittersweet as a symphony
better left unsung. The mist receded
slowly, the cliff revealed its face,
    an ominous silhouette; through
the fog all but a trace. The
    sea subsided silently,
    the fog parted from
    view, Stood high
    upon the edge,
    through the
    silence,
    I saw
    You.
