I always feel safer when I'm off in the dark
Like you cannot hear me, regardless of where you are
Which is off in the daylight--
Laughing and talking like you're made of sunbeams
If I tried living like that, I think I'd split at the seams
I'd fall open, and spill out everywhere
And you'd see that all I was made up of inside
Was just a bunch of dreams
Thoughts and notions of who I could be, and when
A petty devotion to being able to fit my poor heart in a box
I could write a brochure
Because I'm 100% sure of who I'm not
And how you can reach me
Now that I know there's no one who can teach me, unleash me
No man to tell me who I am
No soul under the sun, no one
Only I can know, think, speak, of the places I can go
I know if I hang around for a little too long
Every voice that I hear will start to twist, turn, like a song
that will move me along
To get to everywhere I haven't been:
Places we've never seen before will start to look
Familiar.

- This beautiful and well written. The title is a little..awkward, simply because I don't hear the word 'takeable' in everyday speech. Keep writing!
