All Grown Up (corruption)
Remind me when it all went wrong
It all changed so fast
Sleep overs with no clothes on
And your virtue doesn't last
Sherbet isn't a lolly
But a white powder still
Now it gets you high
And this sherbets gonna kill
Your friends suddenly judge you
Make you feel like you don't belong
And if you make a little mistake
It's not fixed in a day, it's always wrong
They trade snakes and fads
For cigarettes, joints and cigars
When did corruption become so cool?
And $5 stopped going far
When did there stop being just right and wrong?
It all stopped being simple
When did appearance become some such an issue?
When did we get that first pimple?
Remember when weight wasn't a big deal?
When you didn't starve yourself?
And throwing up whatever you did consume
When harm and hatred didn't start with self
When friends were forever
Band aids fixed your fall
Embarrassment wasn't real
And holding hands was all
Remind me when it all went wrong
It all changed so fast
Sleep overs with no clothes on
And your virtue doesn't last

I really like this poem...
I think most teens and lots of other people can relate to it.
