-
Over the river and through the forest,
Across the feild and past the flourist,
My family is waiting by the park,
While my friends are playing in the dark.
I'm searching and searching but cannot find,
All of the things left behind.
Like memories of friends,
And how much time we would spend.
Also of who is now deceased,
I'm not too happy to say the least.
My family is waiting and my friends are playing,
But they're all waiting on me.
To find the happiness and pleasure I've been looking for.

- Description: This a poem i wrote in 7th grade about my great grandmother. She was the most imprtant person in the world to me, and her death practically destroyed my world. So I wrote this poem and found out that I can control my emotions through writing.

- This poem grabbed my attention much more than others I've read. When I read that you wrote it in 7th grade I became very impressed. You have some nice wordplay going on there: "forest/florist" for example. Just spell the words correctly and it is a nice little poem you have.
