I have a secret I cannot tell.
I carry a guarded heart.
Though I am willing to give,
I am unwilling to receive.
Lest my expectations raise further than I can reach
Or can fall.

I have a secret I cannot tell.
I am buried under earth,
Under sky, under love.
"Breathe" I say,
But I cannot do.
"Breathe" I say,
Whispering to the wind.

I have a secret I cannot tell.
i hurt. i bleed.
i cry. i sleep.
Will someone hear me out?
Will someone see what I cannot see?

I have a secret I cannot tell,
A yearning I cannot keep.
Lest the years run ahead of me
And play me for a fool.

very nice, its like your asking sum1 for a way out but you cant except it cuz you cant give away the secret. sorry if im wrong tho, id hate to miss message but go on about what i think the message is. but overall, very nice. but i would like to guess something, the meaning in this message is somehting your not willing to give. its personal, it comes from the heart. or your just an unbelieveble poet. but i can believe that smile
