My shoes are silent on the floor and I ask myself
Do I want this anymore?
Do I want to sit here while he guilts me into submission?
Why am I always in the bad guy position?
Do I want to feel like I did something wrong?
No.
Do I love him?
I can't answer that.
While I sit in the shawdows he gets a pat.
Even now, the day of my birth, holds no candle to his naive football god.
Even now his apology is and only will be a whisper in my dreams
And now everyone sees

Were you inside my head when you wrote this? You have the greatest eloquence at painting with your words. I know the feeling of someone that means alot to you overlooking a birthday, the pain goes deep & wrenchs the soul, not just the heart...& the apology that never comes (even when someone else wishes you a happy birthday) causes you to question what the hell you feel for him. Beautiful artistry & imagery come from the depths...let it flow & keep writing...you definitly have a great gift!!!!

- Wow lots of comments huh... well let's see... 4/5 if I could. I love the structure although I must admit I'm more of a sucker for rhyming. The subject matter is nice but typical. That said I still enjoyed the read. Rate back if you'd like ^_^
