• He has been waiting for this day to come for what he thinks of as an eternity, but it has actually been only two weeks now since he last saw the love of his life. It has only been two weeks of summer and he has been miserable this whole time. He sat at the edge of his porch, waiting anxiously like a small child on Christmas morning. He jumped up as fast as he could when he saw her car pull up into view. As soon as she got out of the car he ran over and lifted her off her feet. As they made sure her parents car was out of sight, he turned to her and gave her a kiss.
    They walked into the house where the other couple where waiting patiently on the living room couch, his arm around her shoulders. The newcomer and the now happy boy sat on the couch next to them. As they dimmed the lights they put on a show to watch until it was time to leave for the drive in they planned to go to.
    An hour later, it was finally time to head to the drive in. They got into the car and then they were off. At the drive in the mother who had driven them there had fallen sleep during the first movie since it was more of a kiddy movie, so when the movie they where actually there for came on she didn’t notice that the two couples where showing their love for each other in the way that most couples did when they where teens, in no way other than kissing….
    At the end of the movie they woke up the mother and she drove the two girls back to their houses. When it came time for the boy’s date to leave he almost started to cry, but he didn’t want her to see…., so he held it in and walked her to the door…since it was late her parents where asleep and the light was too dim for the mother who was driving to see, so as his date was stepping into her house he turned around, pulled her in, and kissed her goodnight. But as much as you want time to stop, us humans just don’t have the power to control it so he let her go, told her goodnight and that he loved her, turned and forced himself to go back home….
    When he got home, he didn’t care to take off his shoes, he didn’t care to get ready for sleep, what he did was go to his room, fall onto the bed, and cried himself to sleep…. So until the next time he will see the love of his life, he will be the most miserable boy on the face of the earth……
