OMG!!! I finally finsihed Chapter 6! It took me soooooo long but i finished! so her it is! Oh and remember to enter the drawing contest! details in my last entry!
Chapter 6
When we got to the breakfast hall everyone was already at the table, Cameron and the boys, Emily, Molly and her dogs, and the four mages Soji, Jamela, Shay, and Jasper. Daniel led us over to by Emily.
“YES!!!!! I knew you would!!! I when Cameron he proposed to her and she said yes!!!! Now pay up!” said Emily happily.
“You win Emi…dude I didn’t think you’d have the guts to propose to her last night! But Emi here did, so we made a bet!” said Cameron as he reached into his wallet and pulled out three one hundred dollar bills.
“Well I sorta had to cause dad already spilled the beans that she was gonna marry me some day, so I just went with it last night.” He shrugged as he grabbed a bagel and started to put cream cheese on it.
I hid my face when I thought of last night I could feel myself blush. Unfortunately Cameron saw my blush before I could hide my face fast enough. He burst out laughing.
“Dude! You are so busted!!! I can’t believe you did IT last night!!!” Cameron kept on laughing.
“Cameron I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Said Daniel, his checks slightly flushed. I figured he must have thought about last night also.
All of a sudden a figure burst through the dining room doors. It’s was a girl, she looked about seventeen. Had short brown hair, she wore glasses, and had a gothic look to her outfit. I instantly knew who she was; she was my best friend Alix. I couldn’t believe it I thought she was human! The thought never crossed my mind that she was a vampire…course back before I met Daniel I didn’t believe in this kind of stuff.
She smiled hugely when she saw me, “GIRL!! I haven’t seen you in forever! Daniel I thought you had just come to town to see the girls not take one as your bride! Man…can’t believe all the s**t that’s been going on! Uhhh…Katherine…my girl I need to talk to you later privately…if that’s kool?” Alix said in a whisper.
“Yeah…why? Can’t you talk to me now?” I asked.
“Well just cause we need to catch up on a bunch of s**t,” she said back to her usual self. “And by what I heard Cameron say it sounds like you gots lots to tell!” a sly smile lit her face.
“OWWWWW!!!!!!! That hurt Daniel! Dude! That’s so not cool!!” I turned around to see Daniel throwing food at Cameron, a very pissed look on his face.
“CAMERON!! I HATE YOUR MUTT GUTS!!!!! YOU BETTER RUN NOW OTHER WISE I’LL KILL YOU NOW!!! RUN DOG BOY! RUN!” with that Daniel jumped over the table in one fluid movement without disturbing anything on the table.
It had to be one of the funniest things I had ever seen. I guess I was gonna see it some time soon, cause those two have such short tempers sometimes. They were the oddest best friends I had ever seen!
“Guys break it up!” I said through some fits of laughter, “Come on stop acting like four year olds!!” I couldn’t stop the laughter now. I was laughing so hard that I couldn’t breathe.
Daniel looked at me like I was crazy. “Kat! It’s not funny!” He said it like he would to an adult, Mom it’s not funny!!! Thinking that made me laugh even harder.
“I’m sorry,” I tried to say without laughing, but didn’t succeed, “Sorry I can’t help it!!!” I went over to him and pecked him on the check, then continued to laugh as I took Alix by the arm and led her to my room.

When we got into my room Alix looked at me with sorrow in her eyes. I looked back confused, “Alix can you tell me now what’s wrong?” I asked after about five minutes of silence.
“It’s about your mom Kat…I don’t know how to tell you this…” she said hurt easily heard in her voice.
“What happened to my mom?” I whispered into the air, all the worst possibilities running through head. Then my thoughts stopped on one. “No, no, no!!! NO! NO!!!!!” I started to scream, I feel to my knees with a thud. I couldn’t believe what Alix was trying to say, my mom couldn’t have died. There was no possible reason for her to be dead! The calm, cool place in my brain was watching as I feel apart, I remember it now I was like an outsider in my body. “How…why…when?” I managed to squeak out.
“About three weeks after you left with Daniel. A thief broke in and your mom came home to him in the house, he was armed. She was shot and died instantly. I took care of the thief, I had been waling home when I heard the shot. I ran up to the house and went in to find your mom lying on the floor. The thief was shaking all over; it looked as if he never killed someone before. He dropped the gun when he saw me and went down on to his knees. He started to say stuff like, ‘I didn’t mean to she surprised me!!’ I took out my cell and dialed 911. The cops didn’t show till about almost a half an hour after I went in.
They wanted to know everything that I had seen. I told them my story, from the start of seeing your mom pull into your drive way till they got there. I’m so sorry Kat! If I had hurried faster maybe I could have gone in with your mom, but…but…I’m so sorry Kat!!!” She looked like she was gonna break down in tears.
“It’s okay Alix,” I said in a numb voice, “It wasn’t your fault…” Tears silently slide down my face.
The door to my room burst open to Daniel standing in the frame. He ran over to and scooped me up into his arms and set me on the bed. “You are excused, Alix.” He said in a tone I didn’t recognize.
“Yes your majesty.” She said as she bowed slightly to Daniel, then walked out of the room and left me alone in the room with Daniel.
We sat there in silence, only the sounds of my sobs could be heard. The next twenty minutes of my life felt so long, it felt like an eternity. Slowly I came out of my haze, only to wake up in the bed. I looked at the clock and it was 5 pm. I slowly got up and looked around; I couldn’t remember what had happened before I fell asleep. Then I remembered, no tears fell down my face this time. I slowly walked into the bathroom, I looked like crap. My eyes were all red and puffy and my hair was a mess on top of my head.
I got into the shower and washed myself, taking my time to loosen up. I was stiff and I had a killer headache. After my shower I went and got dressed, everything was moving in slow motion. I walked out of the room and headed for the meeting room, I knew everyone was in there, but I wasn’t sure how I knew. When I got to the door I could hear Alix talking.
I walked into the room and everyone went silent. Daniel smiled at me and patted the seat next to him. I went over and sat next to him. “You okay sweetie?” He said.
“Ye-ah,” my voice was rough from my crying, “Yeah, I’m fine please continue the discussion.”
Alix continued what she was saying, “Everyone is in chaos! My spies are getting themselves found and killed! And the worst part is my best spy is missing! I haven’t gotten a report from him in weeks!! The war’s gonna start soon Daniel, and you need to start to get an army together, pronto!”
“Alix you know I won’t force anyone into the army! And neither would my father! That is not how we are,” he put his head in his hands, “I can only ask for their help….”
“Then let’s ask them! We’ll send out message to every village in our realm! We’ll do everything in our power to get people to help with the war!!” Emily said with passion laced in her voice.
“I think that’s a brilliant idea Emily! I’m sure who ever doesn’t want their lives destroyed will come and join our cause!” I said, I knew we could pull this off.
“Your right…we’ll make a document, copy it and send it to every village in the realm!”
Everyone got up and left the room, silently going off into their own conversations with each other. I walked over to Daniel and hugged him, “This should work great…but where did you come up with this idea?”
“Well….I’m not completely sure on where I got the idea but it sort of came to me out of the blue. In my heart I know this is the best way and I also know this is the most affiant way to keep the sprits in the kingdom high. But how are you felling?”
“Fine…my head hurts like hell but otherwise I’m numb to it all. Now I shouldn’t have any thing holding me back….it still hurts through,” I hugged him and he held me close.
“Its okay, Katharine. Anyways we need to go see my father now…and I’m not real excited about it…” he told me.
I giggled at him, “Come on...we need to go see him.” I pulled him along behind me to the King’s bedroom. He knocked.
“Come in,” said the hoarse voice of the King.
We entered and walked to the King’s bedside, he looked worse for wear then when I had first seen him last night.
“You wished to see us father?”
“Yes,” he rasped, “I would like to have your coronation before I pass away, which also means you well have to marry very soon afterwards.”
I suddenly got really nervous at the word ‘marry’. I couldn’t help it through, Daniel had only proposed to me the other night and I was still getting use to the idea of us even being engaged. This was not what I was ready for.
Daniel grabbed my hand and squeezed it in comfort; I could tell he wasn’t ready for the idea of him being king. Unfortunately we both knew what was about to be said and it wasn’t good.
“I have already talked to the council about the date, we have decided that this Friday it well happen. And I want no arguments about this Daniel! I know I’m dieing and I plan to see my next generation lead this world of ours into a time of peace.”
The King stopped to regain his breath, “And further more, the council has also decided the date of the wedding. I’m sorry but I was out voted on this Daniel, but the wedding will be Wednesday. That is all I wish to talk to you about, so if you wish you may leave.”
Daniel and I bowed, and then left the room. We walked back to our room and went inside. I sat on the couch in the living room and he sat next to me, I curled up into his side.
“Don’t worry about it. Everything will be fine. Worse case scenario…well I can’t think of one. And besides now I have nothing holding me back anymore,” I said sadly.
Daniel hugged me close, “Katharine you have nothing to worry about and your mom is in a better place now. No war or the cruelty of the people in this world. And she’ll be happy that you found happiness…you are happy with living with me and all?”
I looked at him shocked that he could even suggest a thing. “Daniel, I think I fell in love with you when we first met. Yes I was upset that I had my choice taken away, but I love being with you and I’m happy that I can be happy living where I do. Now you are the most important thing in my life nothing else matters anymore than being with you. I love you.”
I knew he wasn’t prepared for me to say it, but I saw his golden eyes soften to a liquid golden brown.
“I love you, too. More than you will ever know Katharine…more than you well ever know.”
He kissed me lightly on the lips; I met his kiss with more passion. I loved him, and nothing could keep us apart now that we would be married sooner than planned. But now I didn’t think it so bad, maybe we’re suppose to be married sooner than planned. I didn’t question what plans fate had for me, but embraced it. Whatever it was I could handle it, as long as I had Daniel by my side.
I woke up the next morning in a tangle of sheets; I smiled as I remembered last night. I heard noise in the bathroom and got up to see Daniel starting the shower.
He smiled when I entered, “Hey…want to take a shower?” He gestured towards the steaming water coming out of the shower head; I could already feel it on my skin. I climbed into the shower and let the hot water run over me. Daniel joined me inside.
After the shower I got dressed in jeans and a low cut, black V-neck sweater that fit like a second skin. I came out of the dressing room and found Daniel tying his black Convers. He smiled when he saw me.
“I’m gonna have trouble keeping my hands off of you today. You look very sexy in that.” He crossed the room and pulled me into a kiss; I was caught by surprise but kissed him back. We broke off the kiss when there was a knock on the door in the hall.
“Come in,” I said.
Alix walked into the room fully dressed in black from head to toe. She smiled when she saw me in Daniel’s arms.
“Hey, breakfast is up. So I thought you two might want to know…but I can see you guys were a little busy, and from the way your bed looks you were last night too!”
I felt the color rush to my face when she said it. I hid my face in Daniel’s chest and I felt him chuckle at my reaction. He kissed the top of my head and pulled my towards the door.
We walked down to the dining hall without any incidents, but what can one expect with a mountain full of vampires, tamers, and werewolves. When we got to the hall there was a bunch of commotion, we looked inside.
Cameron was fighting with Emily, they were loudly discussing best band.
“Three Days Grace, Fall Out Boy, Breaking Benjamin, and Queen! They’re the best,” yelled Emily from across the table.
“No way! Queen is old and nobody’s ever even heard of Breaking Benjamin! The best Bands are ACDC, Aerosmith, Green Day, and Linkin Park,” he argued back.
“They’re all good bands and ya some I like more than others but still mine are better!”
Cameron was about to reply when he saw us out of the corner of his vision, “Hey look it’s the two love birds and the gothic freak!”
“Hey dog boy want to take me up on that? I’ll beat your a** into the ground before you can even say ‘Uncle’!” Alix looked at Cameron and stared him down to back up the challenge.
“When and where? I’d love to beat up a vampire again, considering I can’t beat the s**t out of Daniel over there.”
I saw the heat rush up to Daniel’s face, “One time Cameron! One time! And that was ages ago when we were kids!”
“Oh so your saying I can’t beat you now?”
“Did I stutter? Of course I don’t think you would win! I’m gonna be Mokoa by Friday. There’s no way I could lose to someone like you!”
“Fine then let’s settle this now! I bet I won’t even break a sweat!”
“Fine then! Let’s go to the arena!”
Daniel and Cameron stormed out of the room heading towards the arena. I turned to Alix and asked, “You planned this didn’t you? I mean you use to always start fight between two guys over who you would date.”
“Well really I just wanted to shut Cameron up but it worked out in the end! Now let’s go watch them fight.” She grabbed my arm and pulled me to the arena.
Daniel and Cameron already had their shirts off and were stretching so they wouldn’t hurt a muscle or something; I wasn’t very knowledgeable about that kind of thing.
“So what’s going to happen?”
Alix looked at me like I was dumb, “Oh ya I forgot you’ve probly never seen a fight before. Well here’s how the rules work, first to draw blood wins. You can use anything thrown into the arena, or what you can physically do. Cameron for example, is aloud to shift into wolf form if he wants to and probly will. Daniel on the other hand may not have the same thing as a second form but he has speed on his side and strength.”
“Don’t forget the special powers of the Vampiric race. We have a special ability that can vary from vampire to vampire,” said a voice in the shadows.
“Morning Amber, your up early,” Alix greeted the newcomer with more respect than Daniel, but they were cousins so that was to be expected.
Amber stepped out into the light; she had brown hair, cut shoulder blade length. Her eyes were an eerie very light gray, it looked almost white. She moved with the grace of a bird. She looked at me and I felt my body stiffen, I had no control over what it was doing. She walked over and brushed the tips of her fingers over my check, it was so light of a touch that I wasn’t sure if she really had touched me.
“She is the prince’s partner? She is very young, very kind and loving, but knows when to be hard. She well make a good queen. Her powers are clouded by the human blood left in her. Soon either the rest of the vampire venom will eat the rest of the human blood or Daniel will drink it from her. I am very surprised that he did not wait to turn her till they were married,” Amber’s voice was like a soft whisper, but it held power and knowledge.
“What is your name?”
“K…K Katharine…” I managed to stutter out. I don’t know why she scared me; I thought it was because I was use to vampires being louder than her.
“Katharine,” she smiled, “such a pretty name just like the last Queen. Elizabeth. She was the fairest of them all, and she was your lover’s mother.” After that she drifted back into the shadows and disappeared.
“…Well she’s right I did forget about the powers we vampires have. All of us vampires have a special power about us that we can use…I can read minds. Daniel and Emily can do a lot of things, and I’m not really sure what they are. And because he made you a vampire you’ll probly have them to Aunt Elizabeth did, and the King made her…I don’t know what else to tell you. Ask Daniel, he’ll know more than me. Oh! Look they’re about to start!” She squealed like it was a big deal or something, of course for all I knew it just might be!
I watched as Daniel and Cameron stared off into each other’s faces. Daniel glanced up for a fraction of a second in Alix’s direction; she gave a barely noticeable nod and said, “BEGIN!”
Cameron charged at Daniel, putting noticeable muscle and claws on his body. Daniel jumped in the air to avoid Cameron, in his hand a sliver blade appeared. Daniel landed with a graceful thud.
Cameron came at him again, looking more wolf than man now, he jumped in the air and came down swiping empty air. He growled a heavy growl, “Daniel stop showing off!”
I turned at the sound of Daniel’s laugh right behind me. He kissed me lightly on the lips and jumped back into the arena. “Fine Cameron, but don’t go crying to anyone when you lose!” Daniel brought his sword over in a hard arch, Cameron dashed to the right and the blade hit empty air.
“Those two….I wish they would stop messing around,” Alix groaned as they both feinted off each others attacks.
“I thought they were?”
“No those two always test each others strengths…it gets really annoying after a while! I mean come on!!!!!”
I stifled a giggle at Alix, then turned my attention back to Daniel and Cameron. They were staring at each other both breathing heavily.
“Well I guess you have gotten a little stronger Cameron, but I’m still stronger!” Daniel charged and came down with force, Cameron jumped back to avoid the blade but his left shoulder was nicked.
“DAMN!”
“FIRST BLOOD! DANILE WINS!!” Shouted Alix, I covered my ears.
“Oww…right here next to you Alix! Geesh!” I playfully hit her and she smiled.
Daniel smiled at his friend and gave him a fist pound. “Hey man it was a great fight!”
Cameron smiled and said, “Ya…it was. Your swordsmanship has gotten a lot better.”
Daniel smiled and they both hoped back up to where we were standing. I looked at Daniel as his sword poofed away. Then I looked over at Cameron to see how bad his cut was and there wasn’t one. I was shocked.
Daniel must have seen the look on my face because he explained, “Werewolves heal really fast, but they can’t live a fatal blow unlike vampires who can live till they die or till they get a fatal hit to the heart.”
“Oh…” I was a little shocked at his bluntness , but didn’t say anything.
“Come on let’s head back to the dinning hall,” said Cameron.
We walked back to the dinning hall, this time it was pretty quite outside the door. Alix opened up the door and walked in, we all followed her inside.
Emily and Molly were engrossed in their own conversation, while the boys were talking about which new song was the best. Everyone stopped talking when we walked in.
“So…who won?” Asked Emily and Molly simultaneously.
“Daniel did! No duh, Cameron really didn’t stand a chance. Daniel was messing with him the whole time,” said Alix.
Everyone laughed, Cameron blushed and pushed Alix a little, she just laughed. We all went and sat down, soon the hall was filled with people eating breakfast.
“So what are we going to do today?” I asked Daniel as we walked out of the dinning hall.
“Well I thought because today is Monday, we could go around and meet people then tomorrow you have to go and get fitted for your dress, anyone who can get here by Wednesday will be here so that will be a lot of people because there are a lot of us around that can move at high speeds or have connections. So unless you’d rather do something else, then I think we should get on our way.”
Daniel grabbed my hand and pulled me towards a hallway that I hadn’t been down. We walked hand in hand to a stair well going down, it was gated and there were guards standing at its entrance. Daniel nodded to them and they opened the gate and let us through. We walked down the flight of stairs and came into a huge cavern. I surprised at how big it was, in the middle at the bottom were hundreds of stalls. Everywhere there was people selling things, from brightly colored cloths, to amazing smells coming from the foods people were cooking and eating.
“Wow….it’s so beautiful,” I said. I was so amazed at all the color and sound in there that when I broke from the trance it had me and looked at Daniel, he was smiling at my face. “What?”
He laughed at me and kissed me lightly on the lips and said, “Nothing Kat! You just looked so cute looking at everything. I couldn’t help but be delighted by your reaction.” He hugged me and kissed me again.
I smiled at him, pleased that he was pleased. We finished walking down the stairs and came down to the bottom level of the place. It was filled with people; it looked like a scene I could only imagine out of a book. Of course know I was technically a ‘fictional’ character, so I really believe what was in front of me right now.
“DANIEL!” yelled out two female voices. A girl who was tall and lanky, with blond hair ran up, along side of her was a girl with fox ears on top of her head and a fox tail on her behind, she had reddish-brown hair and was full figured.
“Lemi! Aiyumi!” They hugged him almost knocking him to the ground. “Guys get off! I know we haven’t seen each other in years but still!”
The blond let go first, she was still laughing, “Aiyumi let go! You’re making the future queen jealous!”
I felt the heat rush to my face, as the girl called Aiyumi looked at me, “Sorry! Daniel’s a close friend of ours! Ummmm…I’m Aiyumi!”
“Lemi,” Lemi held out her hand and I shook it.
“Katherine…so what are you guys…sorry for asking but I’m new to this whole thing still,” they smiled at me.
“I’m a werewolf,” replied Lemi.
“Water fox daemon, we’re rare since a lot of my race was mixed in as the same category as daemons who kill people,” said Aiyumi.
I gave a little smile, “I’m sorry your people where killed. It must have been hard for you.”
“No not really, I was born at the end of it…so I don’t really know much about it.”
“No more sad stories! Let’s getting to shopping!” Lemi hooked one arm through mine and Aiyumi did the same to the other, they started to drag me away. I looked back at Daniel, laughing as he followed behind.
WALL LA! BOOM BANG BOOM! AND JUST LIKE THAT CHAPTER 6 IS OVER!
I am very sorry but i don't know how long Chapter 7 will take me but i've been trying to work on it everychance i get! Oh and those of you i rp with in Academy Evil i'm working on a story for Alexander! (this i'm writing on paper first, not typing!)
