My Inner Universe... is ....
Setting:Fuedal Era Japan
Main Character: Kioko. She is the daughter of a demon and a deon priestess. she is 13 yrs old in this.
"I wanna learn how to fight!" said Kioko. "No." replied her mom. "I wanna learn to sword fight!!!" Kioko yelled. "Well I said no!" her mom yelled back. "Fine, if she wont let me, I'll teach myself." thought Kioko. She yelled to her mom"I'm going outside!" her mom yelled back"Ok.". Kioko went to the Samurai Meeting House. She bowed to the leader. "Sir, may I have a sword? I would like to learn to fight like you." she asked politely. "No, your too young. And besides, your a girl." he replied. Outraged, Kioko left and hid behind the meeting house. She knew that the samurai were going to practice today. When they left, Kioko ran into the house to get a sword and was back outside before anyone noticed. She silently followed the samurai through the forest.
As they approached the place where they were training, Kioko broke away from the group. She went to a place where she could still see and hear them, but where they couldn't see nor hear her. She waited for orders just like the samurai did, and practiced everything the samurai did. "So step, and hit..."she whispered. As the day light faded, Kioko new more than one move.
As the samurai finished their last excersise, Kioko took a deep breath. Then she heard the leader tell them that it was time to go home. Kioko waited for them to pass and once again she silently followed the samurai back to the village. When they reached the village, Kioko ran home. As she walked into her house she made sure to keep the sword completely hidden. Realizing that her mother was not home, she sighed and stopped hiding the sword. Then she realized that her mother could be home at anytime. "Oh great, what do I do with this?" she said frantically. She looks at the floor. Then she smiles, "I've got it!" she tore up one of the wooden floor boards and hides the sword beneath it.
Her mother then came home, not looking to happy. She actually looked scared. "What's wrong mother?" she asked in concern. "Kioko dear, no matter what happens, just stay behind me." she said. "But mother--" "Don't argue with me Kioko! Just do it." A man with a sword bursts in the door. "Oh no." her mother whispers. "Kioko, get behind me!" she says. Kioko runs behind her. As her mother tries to protect her from the man, she fails. The man with the sword kills her mother. Kioko is angry at this, as well as bloody from her mother. She runs in fear, tearing up the floor board and un-sheathing the sword.
She fights back for her life as best as she could. He went to slice her, she dodged. She comes running at him, and he comes running at her. thier swords hit. He pins her against the wall with the sword to her neck. "Not so tough now are you little girl? Your too little to be holdin a sword like this." He teased. "Heh, heh,*blood running out of her mouth.*..." Kioko laughed. She kicked him in the stomach and ducked down as he tried to cut her head off. She ran towards the other wall, pushed off of it with her feet, and cut him. He ended up dieing at her feet. Blood-stained and angry, she stood there.
She walked out of her house that way with a bloody sword around town as everyone stared. She made her way to the Samurai Meeting House and, once there, she spoke to the leader. He was a little scared to see Kioko this way. Especially with the demon that she was.
After that night, she made a vow right then and there that anyone who told her she couldn't, that she was too small, or told her she couldn't do something because she was a girl was silenced.
