Today's Events Rant!
After getting some MUCH-needed sleep after Band today (I was up till 5am working on an English paper and had to be up for class by 9 sweatdrop ), I got up again around ten tonight to find out-I've got mail!
Yes, I realize how lame it sounds that I'm thrilled at getting a PM, but I just love getting mail in any way, shape, or form. So that added to the card I got from my G-ma today made me happy ^_^.
Anyway it was a message about an art contest. The girl having it said she saw my DevArt gallery and liked it, so she invited me to join her contest. My first thoughts?
First: Yay, she likes my work!!! heart
Second: An excuse to draw stuff?! Count me in!!!!! whee
Ahh, and an excuse to draw some more chibis . . . I absolutely looove chibifying stuff! I don't have but one in my DevAccount, but most of my CG ones are for a forum I frequent, and I consider anything I make for anyone else to be THEIR property once given, not mine.
Art Rant!
I mean, I always keep a copy and may show it if I need a specific example to someone, but I never put them up anywhere. I suppose I'm afraid they'll get stolen or something; I realize I'm not that great or anything but it has been known to happen.
And can you imagine making a pic for a friend, only for them to find it on someone else's site or on google or something later? It'd make them doubt, and make you both feel aweful about, and confuzzled and hurt and annoyed and . . . meh. Just too much trouble/problems. So if I make something, I'll leave where it goes up and is see by and such to whoever I make it for. Thus, some of my better work isn't seen by many. crying
Bleah, maybe someday I'll ask teh great forum king Rahl for permission to put some up in my account after they've been around for a while, but probably not any time soon. Too bad though, I'm really rather fond of the Chibi-Catboi that goes with the Kilala pic in my DevArt Account . . . ACAP catboi mascotness is teh best xd
