It was afew days after my turning, I had been on a trip through the arctic circle, learning about the animals up tere and inhancing my natural abilities for animal speech. I sat across the fire from him, the man who turned me, this, Al, figure who called himself a prince. I never did beleive him on what he said, and he decided to punish me for it.
I called to a small seal pup, and the little white fluff ball wandered over, and snuggled into my lap, I laughed, whiping the snow from his soft white fur, and nuzzled his soft white side. The little animal barked, something had gripped it's neck, and it was pulled away from me violently, it's neck snapped, I could hear it, and Al sank his teeth into it's soft flesh, draining it while crimson drops f blood fell onto the clean white snow.
I was shocked, I looked at him pleadingly, why had he done that? I wondered and stood up. I turned, on impuls and ran, I ran right over the edge of th glacier we were on, and jumped, letting out a silent call for help, and met with a thud by the black back of a killer whale. I rested there as the whale carried me away from Al, for three long days. On the eve of the fourth day, a small dot on the horizen caught my eye, it was getting bigger, and soon I culd tell it was a cloud of vampire bats, Al's favorite animal, and his secondary form. I let out a loud cry and the whale dove, taking me with it into the freezing water. I held on for dear life, freezing, my fingers numb. The Whale surface, and I saw what it saw, a large tanker moving through the snow drifts and glaciers. The whale bucked, and sent me flying, with added speed from the catapulting affects of it's tail.
I landed on the tanker with a thud, sliding across the slick metal floor as I heard the dieing crys f the whale that had helped me. I collapsed there and cried, my hands over my bitterly cold face. I wouldn't see Al for another 2 weeks.
I woke in a large, spacious room onboard the tanker, wrapped in blankets and laying on a soft mattress. I looked around, and saw a young man near me, making some hot tea for me, I presumed this wasn't the first time I had woken, but I knew it would be perminent this time. The young man walked over and smiled t me, Crystal eyes glimmering as he handed me the cup, I thanked him and took a sip of the too hot tea. "W-where are we?" I asked, my voice was raspy from misuse, I hadn't spoken since I reached the arctic circle over 3 months ago. The young man looked suprised, "Ah, so you speak.... We were taking bets that you were a mute..." he murmured and st down on the edge of the bed, "Well lets see..... We found you in the glacier feild, so we should be about halfway to russia by now, maybe further."
I blinked, Russia? Was I really that far from my home? I shook my head, "Do you know how long till we get there?" The young man looked over at her, "About another two weeks, why?" I seemed frightened, and he asked quietly, worry shrouding his face, "What's wrong?" I laughed quietly, "Nothing, please dont worry..."
He seemed to not beleive me, but stood anyhow and started for the door, "Oh, by the way, I'm Aeon Blackheart." I blinked, I had to tell him my name, it was only fair, but Elly Strock wasn't good for me, not now anyhow. "I'm Bloodstone, Bloodstone Secome." He arched his eyebrows, "Asian?" I nodded slightly, and he smiled, walking out the door.
A day later, the sounds of shouting, and gun shots woke me. I blinked in confusion, before I registered just what was going on, it was Al. I stood and ran out the door, nothing on but a long nightgown and I ran across the sleek surface, sliding occasionally, right into Al's arms. He was angry, encredibally angry, and he drove one of his claws into my back, raking it down my side as punishment. I let out a yelp of pain, but no more, "Dont ever run away from me, Elly.... Not ever." I sobbed quietly, my face in his shoulder, my feet covered in blood from my friends who died around me, and my gown turnng red from the blood I lost. I heard a soft call, "Let go of her!" and turned to see Aeon running up the stairs with a gun in hands, aiming at Al.
Before I could stop him, Al sprang forward, leaving me alone and shivering from the cold, to slash down Aeon. My eyes widened and my eys water and I let out a pittiful sob, then, I picked up a gun and pointed at Al, "You shouldn't have done that...." I murmured and fired twice, the bullets turning to wood as they left the gun, one nailed him in the shoulder, the other in the heart, and he crumpled, drifting away on the wind as a cloud of dust.
I ran over to Aeon and cried quietly, I didn't know why, but I loved him, and when his eyes flicked open, the long gash in his side still bleeding, I smiled, and kissed him, to his amazment and my own. He looked up at m as I set to work, tearing peices of my gown from my hem and tieing his wound shut, "I hope you can drive, because I cant...." I murmured, and he smiled, nodding.
