A Memorable Present
My most memorable present the one I got on a rainy day. I remember that day so vividly. Here’s happened that very special day.
It was very stormy lightning flashing , and thunder rolling so I watched Television. Abruptly the doorbell rang I got up and answered the door. No one was there thinking it was one of my friends playing a joke I watched more television, but after that the doorbell constantly rang I got very mad! I answered and yelled “ ,WHAT DO YOU WANT!!!!!!!!!!”, Not noticing the little girl in a pink rain coat, she looked at me, it was Lily with tears in her eyes. She ran away crying.
I yelled “,Wait Lily!”, Quietly to myself I said”, I’m sorry.”, I went back to my house I saw a present Lily had brought up to my porch. I dragged the enormous present inside. I opened it there was an electric guitar, light pink with silver sparkles and a twenty watt amplifier. I cried hysterically for this present was one I have always wanted, and I couldn’t even play it because of what’d I did.
A few days later I finally got enough courage to go to Lily’s. When I got there I asked for Lily they said “, She’s at the hospital.“, I asked why they said sobbing”, She’s dying from Pneumonia.”, I ran to the hospital crying in horror. I asked for Lily’s room “, room 206”, the nurse said I ran to the room gasping for air when I got there. I saw Lily laying there as white as the moon on a dark night. I walked in crying so hard it were as if I was crying out all of the water in my body. I said to her “,I’m sorry.”, She said “,It’s alright.”, She continued ”,Did you like your gift.”, ”,I loved it.”, I said gripping her hand tight then she said “,I’ll miss you.”, Then I said”, I’ll miss you too”, Then she smiled and slowly let go of my hand and died.
I still grieve over that day and I know if I wouldn’t have yelled and had let her inside to warm up she would have lived. Now every song I sing or
compose is dedicated to Lily. My only wish is that I could go back in time and take back what I did.
