Well, I have made an entry in a while. Here goes.
My friend bought a semi-used guild. We made it our own. Now it's a RP guild. Fun fun. Anyways, Verna and I went recruiting. Do you know how hard it is to find good RPers? Let me tell you, they are becoming rarer and rarer. Now that's sad. RP posts are supposed to have more than one line and they look better when they have a capital at the begining and a period at the end.
Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but I think they are supposed to have more than one paragraph as well.
You see, I learned to RP in a forum that had a limited space. Only 100 posts in a thread, only 100 threads on a board. Now, with that going on, we had to make our posts last. The more info you could shove in a post, the better. Of course, you had to find a way to makie it look and sound good as well.
That place, until recently, was one of the most elitist places to RP. If you couldn't make it, who's fault was it but your own? It wasn't everyone elses problem that you could make standards. I mean, there were awards for crappy RPers as well as awards for the best. If you were awful enough, you could get slapped with the worst thread, worst player, and worst GM awards. "Bjenks," I pity you.
This was not to say that everyone there was mean, they just were a little pompous. And I was one of them. Kaku and I were one of the legends of the forum. We weren't gods like Treylon, Fizban, or The Author, but we were up there.
Now? RP has mostly fallen into slums. Idiots have taken over. I just hope I invited a good amount of the awsome, good, and decent RPers that are left.
Okay, so maybe I ranted a little. I still have more to say! TSN is doing great, if it's not a little sloppy at the moment. We need to get organized. More people means more mess.
I think I'm done now.
