POEM 16 - The Hangman's Noose
It burns around my neck, I think it's friction, Or is it something else, Because something's itching, I swing and swing, All day long, Everyone cheers, They sing their songs, They think I'm dead, But oh no, I'm not, All this for a princess, Who I love a lot, How could we get caught, We were so careful, The way I snook into the castle, She called it dareful, I love her, She loves me, Why can't society see, That we, Had something going, Her and I, The everlasting love, That won't let me die, She watches and watches, As I start to run out of breath, But I'll never rest, Not even through death, I love her to much, I can't leave her alone, Not in this despicable world, That I once called home, Heres my last words, And I never lie, "That deep inside you, princess, I'll never die..."
I'm still pondering over the name for this one. Comment here on what you think it should be.
