POEM 9 - The Men in White Coats
I was screaming, The men pulled me away, The men in white coats, One day they'll pay, For taking me away, From my love, They think I'm crazy, Because I think she's a dove, Haven't they ever heard, Of a metaphor? Obviously not, As they obviously don't adore, The whole art of literature, A gift for us mortals, The one thing that hasn't sinned, And I've been took through a portal, Or that's what it felt like, As I was driven away, In that grey old van, Those men will one day pay, I woke in a padded cell, And I couldn't move my arms, Looking down, I saw what it was, I was wearing a straightjacket, Something I had only heard of before, And I screamed and I screamed, For the girl I adore, But noone answered, And there I lay, Crying and crying, For the rest of my days...
Wrote this for boredoms sake. God, I can't believe I've written this much today.
